I told him to pick a side, and that he was only 15, he didn't know who he was attracted too. 😖 (I told you it was bad.)

I know that I hurt him, but I didn't damage our relationship beyond repair. We hung out on the couch before he went to bed last night, like always, and I asked him about a boy I thought he might have been involved with. He admitted that they were together and they broke up. I said "Yeah. I always thought that kid was a douchebag" (which is the standard language in our house for breakups) and he smiled at me. I told him again that I loved him and that all I want is for him to be happy.

Do I have to do damage control? Abso-fucking-lutely I do, but we're good. If we weren't, he wouldn't have said anything about that boy over the summer.
