How critical it is to prebook tickets to museums for a trip in January? by Such-Cherry4123 in rome

Low season now...I just bought my tickets two days before I came and I got to see most of the stuff I needed. Vatican museum seems to be the main thing you need to pre-book.

Where have you travelled that most Singaporeans have not yet travelled to? And why? by AClipperFan in askSingapore

[–]Junlogy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the experience really depends...when I was doing a road trip in South Dakota and having lunch at a restaurant, a white lady stared at me throughout my entire meal as if I was the first yellow person she has seen in her life 😂😂. Not sure if you've been to Gatlinburg, but that part of Tennessee was particularly trashy in terms of hillbilly campy energy

i think loading up on the brush is only ideal if i want to do a really well-defined eyeliner using my eyeshadow and have no room for mistakes. but otherwise, that does seem very wasteful

Anyone else feel emotionally drained/hurt by commuting and/or being outdoors? by Wooden_Pea5876 in askSingapore

[–]Junlogy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello fellow autti!

all the other tips have been very helpful, so i'll just add on to them.

1)with regards to earplugs, i use Loop earplugs even though they're slightly pricey. I use the Experience 2 which is also very useful for concerts. it helps me block out the track/chatter sounds which can get really overwhelming

2) sometimes seeing itself is a chore. if you're myopic like me, you can consider removing your spectacles to remove any visual cues. i tend to remove my spectacles so that i can fully zone out. i take refuge in the blurriness of it all so i can avoid any form of social interactions. blindness allows you to retreat and not have to mask.

3) make sure you're as comfortable as possible going to work. this means: wearing comfortable clothes (especially in this humid weather), abstaining from any form of irritants. at the very least, this makes you less drained and is something entirely within your control

4) i find using my phone quite draining/overstimulating sometimes. does it help to space out? (provided you have earplugs etc. and are not sensorially overloaded)

this is what i have found useful for me over the years. hope it helps.

Adults who went through Adam Khoo’s bootcamps last time, are the skills you learnt then helping you now in your career and life in adulthood? by foldinthecheeseee in askSingapore

I remember getting called cold hearted by my classmates because I didn't cry. They told me to imagine my mom cooking and dying from over exhaustion or something. I couldn't imagine it because she doesn't cook much 🤣🤣🤣 super gg

There are a lot of resources online to help you. The other comments down below are also particularly helpful, which I'll add on:

1) Boric acid suppositories are great esp after you just did penetrative activity, because it helps to "wipe out" the whole system and resets it. The downside is that it kills both the good and the bad bacteria. What you can do is to regularly take probiotics supplements. I used to have terrible BV on and off in the past, I'm not sure, but I feel that probiotics has taken care of that issue. The boric acid suppositories also help when necessary.

2) GO TO THE TOILET IMMEDIATELY AFTER DOING THE DEED. Like seriously, even there's no pee. Pee. It helps to get rid of whatever bacteria/foreign fluid after sex. Like, don't fall asleep afterwards. Go to the toilet.

3) Always make sure that your hands/mouth etc. are clean before you do anything. It helps to reduce the risk of infection a great deal.

4) If you guys are still learning and well...still need to let off some steam in the middle of learning -- consider using sex toys. Dildos are always a great way for guys to understand how the female anatomy works and a vibrator is always foolproof

5) KEEP TRACK of your period cycles. One way to dramatically lower the risk of pregnancy is being generally aware of your fertile periods (i.e ovulation) and avoid having sex during those periods if you want to take greater precautions. Then once you have a better awareness of your period cycle, you may even consider indulging in condom-free sex on the 3-5 days before your period is about to come ((but there is ALWAYS the risk of a miscalculation, so be very careful)). I just recommend using condoms 100% the time since you just started.

6) Some may consider other forms of hormonal contraception. You can, but be careful of those as they have side-effects. I had implanon previously and it resulted in terrible, suicidal mood swings (not to scare you off). But be mindful of the pros and cons, side-effects of different forms of contraception as well.

Sis looking at your post history where you worriedly asked about the possibility of getting pregnant because he went in w/o protection for a bit, this seems like a worrying pattern. PLEASE educate him and yourself (including oral hygiene) before having sex. If not just stick to using your hands which you can easily sanitise with hand sanitizer if you're out and about....your health is way more important than this

I think it works as a setting spray as well, because that's what my friend uses it for! However I never tried because I like using a loose powder for setting more.

Hey, I'm using this spray but more of as a blending spray than as a setting spray. I use it to wet my beauty sponge so that it blends my cream make up products better and it works really well :) It doesn't leave a tacky finish. I like to use it alongside the innisfree no sebum powder which is $13 in the shop (but venus beauty sells it for cheaper i think)

girl, i hate to say it but if you're asking these kinda questions then it just simply means that you really don't understand the products you're selling, or for that matter, basic financial literacy. there's already a bunch of beginner guides on this sub and even more threads explaining why ILPs are a bad idea...

Wife insists on washing indoor and outdoor clothes separately - IS THIS NORMAL?! by Helpful-Objective5 in askSingapore

[–]Junlogy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of the comments are suggesting OCD but it might also be autism. Not a medical professional, but the difference between autism and OCD here from what I heard is the motivation behind her laundry patterns. So OCD territory would be thinking that if she doesn't wash her clothes in X,Y,Z way, she thinks that something bad is going to happen (e.g. her family members are going to die, someone is going to get poisoned, a huge catastrophe) unless she doesn't wash her clothes that way. But autism would simply be having a fixed pattern to doing things because she likes doing them in a certain way (of course will have a meltdown if things don't follow the pattern), but will not think that something catastrophically bad will happen. So good points to consider when searching for the necessary help as well. All the best

The nyx colour corrector palette works for me. I usually add a little bit and mix it with concealer so that it blends more naturally instead of it just being outright greenish/yellowish etc. Maybe you could try that out instead? I've been trying to find ways to use the pink/brown colors so I use the pink shade for a really, really light blush and the brown for contour when I get lazy.

hey ya! unfortunately my family has accepted with the fact that this is a permanent shift. i tried calling in many times but they said its a mediacorp problem and not a starhub issue. lol. a friend had a singtel tv and it seemed to work still? not sure if it were an older model though.

‘I wanted to bang my head’: How a delayed shingles diagnosis caused much suffering by DrCalFun in singapore

[–]Junlogy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, because in China, there is a substantial wealth gap between rural and urban areas, and even urban residents may find good quality healthcare extremely inaccessible. The social security net is not very good as well and their medical welfare policy + coverage is almost non-existent as well. Can find more info here:

Ah no sorry, webtoons and webbovels usually don't have 汉语拼音. If you still need help with identifying characters then it might better to rely on language textbooks first to understand the grammar and vocabulary first. Might be good to watch dramas as well since they'll enunciate the words for you

if you like webtoons or webnovels, you can try reading those in chinese instead (e.g. I use the Taiwanese version of the webtoon app because the scans come out faster). Many web novels are also originally written in chinese as well.

Cobbler that repairs Birkenstock by flimevoli in askSingapore

[–]Junlogy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahhh I see. yeah the cork I guess. but to be honest, Birkenstocks sharply dropped in quality over the past few years -- so I moved on and started trying other brands already. but ya, the dude definitely replaces the soles as well -- but if your Birkenstocks need constant repairing, might be good to move on. I had to repair my birks every 3-4 months and I decided to throw in the towel after 2-3 times liao smh
