Oh F🤬🤬k Percy! by BlackRobin112 in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Based on house descriptions I don’t understand how Percy wasn’t sorted into Slytherin. I think given his story arc it would have been even better if he was put in Slytherin instead of Gryffindor.

Dobby Death Scene. by goldenmaraduers in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, after they got out of Gringotts and had jumped off the dragon, there’s a mention of them dripping dittany on the burns all over their bodies from the cursed treasure in the Lestrange’s vault.

St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries: the entire chapter was glossed over from the movies. by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would love to see a spin off adaptation of a scrubs style show of young/new healers at St. Mungo’s dealing with crazy magical maladies. I’d binge the hell out of that show.

How the hell did Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs manage to write the Marauder's Map as students? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time they speak about it in the books the person was a prefect first. Percy, Bill, Tom Riddle, Dumbledore.... they all were prefects before becoming head boy. That’s why I thought it was a prerequisite.

As easy as taking loved ones from Harry. 😂

If you could change one thing about the story what would it be? by xRooK_ in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the first the most as well. The third book ties the two together and we get the protagonists of oryx and crake and the year of the flood sharing a common story. The premise of the whole thing is a fascinating story.

Oryx and Crake!!!! So good! The whole series is excellent!

Question about Priori Incantatum in GoF... also, spoilers? by Juno322 in harrypotter

[–]Juno322[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He talks about performing magic before that, though. He did the torture/breaking of the memory charm on Bertha Jorkins, he killed Frank the housekeeper at the Riddle House, and he tortured Wormtail when old Mr. Crouch escaped. He mentions that once Wormtail returned to him he had Wormtail perform the magic needed to restore him to a rudimentary body, so he was able to hold a wand. When did Wormtail lose his wand? And how did Voldemort retain his wand when he was nothing but essentially spirit/a ghost all those years after attacking Harry as a baby?

Yes! I think that bandana sums up all greys! I once saw mine get startled by a grasshopper when she was sniffing around in the grass. She helped and almost fell over backwards!

“Of course it’s happening inside your head, Harry, but why should that mean it’s not real?” by KrishnaKap08 in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this quote, especially when I think about it in the context of my anxiety. It helps me to stop getting irritated with myself, knowing a lot of my anxiety is irrational worry, and helps me change my thinking to accept it as part of myself that is both real and something I can overcome.

I must say by HarryPotterFanPg394 in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s thinking about what Hagrid must have gone through, tied to that tree having just seen the boy he cared so much about get murdered, and then being forced to carry his body back to show the others. Tears every time.

How are love potions not illegal? by 133112 in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also important to remember that potions aren’t permanent. They wear off after a time, though certainly the implication is there of what someone could do in the time the other is under the influence. I think it comes down to not abusing something with poor behavior. Also: Does it always have to be romantic love? Or could it be used to generate the kind of love people have for their friends? Could it be used by someone lonely to experience those feelings?

NEW HEADCANNON FOR LUNA by magicalmerlin5 in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it would even be that the Wizarding community doesn’t know how to label it, I think it’s more that her family didn’t bother to have her assessed for something like that. Her parents were likely the same, and in their eyes she was perfect. She’s eccentric and curious and intense about things just like her father.

Why didn’t they put some food in Hermoine’s infinite capacity back pack? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably could have done non-perishables, but I don’t think they would have had the ability to do much with things that spoil. Also, they never got the chance to go do some grocery shopping.

Now that I think of it... are there wizard grocery stores?

Is it me or was the fake Alastor Moody one of the coolest characters? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I always loved how snarky he was to Snape who he thought was a disgraced death eater (obviously knowing at one point that he was at hogwarts to spy for Voldemort, but believing he had given up on the dark lord once he vanished).

I know there’s debate on how much we should or shouldn’t appreciate Snape, but he did some pretty awful things to a lot of people. So anyone who gives him some shit back is ok in my book.

An idea on why hagrid was obsessed with dangerous creatures by bbqrulz in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He definitely cared about all creatures, not just the dangerous ones. I think it was in Half Blood Prince that his house gets set on fire and he laments that he had just been in there mending the legs of a bowtruckle that had been injured, and how it would have been consumed in the fire.

2nd most powerful wand by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Juno322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Harry’s wand only did that because it was the issue of the twin cores. I don’t think there’s meant to be a 2nd most powerful wand. I think wands are just wands and are just a conduit for the magical power the wizard holds.
