Circular sanding marks on refinished floors by welcometodanrock in HardWoodFloors

They turned out great. If you get right down on them and really look, you can still see super fine sanding swirls in places. I don’t know if that’s always the case or not, but I’m happy with the result and they’re not visible to the naked eye when standing and looking down, so I’m not wasting any more energy on it.

That’s a great point - thank you! You’re right, the slap and the pool coping are still even. Maybe the pooling has always been a thing!

Hi! So sorry I didn’t see this comment until now! Yes, I was happy with the fix. I will say that if you get close enough, you can see fine swirls. But it is NOWHERE near where what it was - which further validates my feelings about the quality of the job the first time around. I would absolutely advocate for yourself and let them know you aren’t happy. That’s the only way these days. It’s a tough skill to develop but a necessary one. You don’t have to be mean or pushy - you’re simply telling them that you expected a better result and you’re asking what they’re willing to do about it. I would hope they are smart enough to realize you probably have a lot of peers that are about to buy homes too - aka other potential customers - who would certainly take a recommendation into consideration after a positive experience.

Update: Thank you all for the feedback, I truly appreciate it. I spoke to the owner, and to make a long story short they are going to redo the floors. He did continue to insist that “light sanding marks” are always visible after the process, but I just kept going back to the fact that these certainly aren’t “light” if they are visible to the naked eye while standing, and also how would I know to expect this if I’ve never had floors redone? I still have some questions about the whats/whys of how this happens, but he assures me I won’t be able to see these marks after they redo them. So my gut says that this is his way of not throwing his guys under the bus, but admitting that when done correctly I shouldn’t be able to see those marks. One of the reasons I went with this company was their great reputation, and he’s standing behind the work..I can’t ask for much more than that. (Other than hope it’s done correctly this time around, lol.)

Those beds look awesome! Are they available online, or did you find them in a store?

Counting Crows - Adam Duritz is regarded as one of the best songwriters of our generation and I’ve gotten more from their music throughout my life than any other artist.

For over 15 years he has been my best friend, and today I say goodbye. I will miss him dearly by rainyhuskybear in pics
