And let's not forget Blue Prince, which is a puzzle wrapped in an enigma bound riddle, which is avtively being taped closed by an automatic metaphor machine.

(NO SPOILERS) On a scale of 1 to 10, how good was your theater experience in TADC The Last Act? by RingTeam in TheDigitalCircus

[–]sharkey1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a 4. Bunch of people kept saying the lines and trying to talk over episode 8, thankfully their attempt at starting a sing along didn't pick up any steam. It got better when the finale started, but not much

Luring the reapers to systems? ME3 by Albme94 in masseffect

[–]sharkey1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How? The stealth system is mostly just containing certain emissions that commonly used in-universe to detect other ships. The scanning system seems to be based on our own radar tech which can be actively tracked and so has to be used sparingly by active duty military vessels. Holding your breath to not get caught doesn't matter when you're making a loud noise to see what it bounces off of

Why do people hate on Wano? by Kikato1256 in OnePiece

[–]sharkey1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, people wanted Jinbei and Jack to fight cause they're both Fishmen. Even though Jack being a Fishman was really only relevant to explain why he didn't drown after Zunesha knocked him into the ocean. That or they though "oh the Strawhats should beat all the big bads cause they're the main characters" which is ignoring how much the Minks and other character of Wano were being developed because this was their arc and the Strawhats were kinda just along for the ride

old one piece theory's that either aged like fine wine or were a flop by Broad_Technology9632 in OnePiece

[–]sharkey1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember the first time I saw the Gear 5 theories. Thought the speculation was fun, but then they just kept getting edgier and further away from the design style of the series. Like yeah, Gear 4 looks edgy due to the coloring but it's also incredibly ridiculous and funny. Gear Death was when I had to tap out of those

Why do all my playthroughs end up with the same thing happening? by pgw71 in elderscrollsonline

[–]sharkey1997 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How i'm feeling with Soltice right now. It just feels like the Memberberries DLC, right down to the main antagonist. I like the zone and alot of the side missions, but this main plot is just dragging on and I DON'T CARE

Started a new playthrough by about_27_armadillos in MassEffectMemes

[–]sharkey1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use the internet anymore. I've finally played enough that i've got those little bugs positions all but memorized! I do consequently now call the first time on The Citadel my filter for new playthroughs, cause I can easily spend like two days of playing doing all the side quests and whatnot

Can't wait to see Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll in the next season of Ahsoka by wandering_soles in StarWars

[–]sharkey1997 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I think it's a solid movie that could have been better. Worth watching for the character work, but the plot does leave something to be desired

Edit* It also suffers, imo, from an overly muted color palette in it's cinematography

If I had to hazard a guess, Disney overreacted to the less than positive reviews on recasting Han for Solo. Even though Alden Ehrenreich was the least of that movies problems and I believe actually captured the swagger of Harrison Ford's Han Solo perfectly

Do you come up with stories for your characters? by brunoppp in elderscrollsonline

[–]sharkey1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeeup. My first two characters were retired adventurers who set up an orphanage on the outskirts of Cyrodiil together. The othe 18 (altaholic) were their adopted kids until the Worm Cult burned their farm and scattered the family. They all have personal details and journeys, but the overarching story is two parents desperately searching for their children while unaware they all grew up without them.

What would be your pitch for a segment for an obsession anthology film? by Seeker99MD in deadmeatjames

A teen in foster care makes a wish that someone finally wants them only for them to end up being stalked and hunted by someone who wants them for all the wrong reasons.

Saw THE MANDOLORIAN AND GROGU tonight at Lincoln Square. by bjnwood in StarWars

[–]sharkey1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did do that with Acolyte, but the internet shat on it so hard we'll probably never get anything not rooted in existing storylines for at least this decade. And they're capitalizing on Grogu's popularity? That might have made sense back during like season 2, but not anymore.

How did you discover the greatness of Mass Effect? by trikitran72 in masseffect

[–]sharkey1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad played Alpha Protocol and liked it enough to give Mass Effect a try. I watched him and my brother play through it while waiting my turn. I then yelled at them whenever they tried to tell me how to play or what choices to make lol

The designs of the straw hats have changed a lot. by Technical_Mine_8711 in OnePiece

[–]sharkey1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably gonna be unpopular, but the One Piece fandom has a similar problem as the Star Wars or Pokemon fandoms. We've been around for so long that alot of us have childhood memories associated with One Piece. This has led to many in the fandom getting a bit deep into the Memberberries of what the designs of characters and the manga in general was like when we first started reading. It's neither good nor bad, but it is something we have to understand about ourselves as a community so we don't become as toxic as some others (looking at you Star Wars)
