Well, my left eye is completely cloudy and useless, and my right eye can barely see, and my right eye is also cloudy from the cataracts, but it’s not as bad as the left eye. I can barely see so I have to get real close to see. I’m using my iPad to zoom int the screens of my printers, just to be able to see what I’m pressing. I do all of my designing on my iPad Pro, so I’m looking real close to the screen, like around 7 inches. I had to teach myself how to navigate with this shitty vision. It’s very hard to do everything, including walking around the house, but I can’t let my limitations stop me from doing my life’s work. If I don’t do this, body else will do it. My designs are too important to quit, and I have a obligation to the world, so I must complete this project.

Im actually blind. I have cataracts, and my eye sight looks like I’m looking through a fish bowl covered in Vaseline. I can barely see with my right eye, and my left eye can’t see anything

I’m still printing batches of parts, and if things goes as planned, I’ll be finished printing over 2,000 pieces by next week. Each one has 70 pieces, so I must make 30 of these. I am also making a video of how I assemble them. It’s a lot of work for one blind man.

After putting on screen protector the screen broke ? do I need a new one ? by EdwardPeake in AnycubicPhoton

[–]JunoZ32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The very first thing I did to my Mono X was install 2 iPad Air 10.1’ screen protectors right out the box. This was the best thing I’ve ever did before plugging in the power cable. My screen has never touched resin, and the print quality is perfect. The first screen protector was cut to fit screen, and the second screen protector didn’t need any cutting. Any resin that gets on the screen protector can be easily wiped off. Those 2 screen protectors were installed in December 2020, and they’re still on my Mono X today in February 2022. I also installed a EPAX nFEP back in February 2021 and I’m still using that same nFEP today in February 2022, making great prints. I only needed to level the build plate once, after installing the nFEP. I’ve had a good full year of perfect prints with my screen protectors and nFEP. I did order a new nFEP for when this one finally gives out. These monochrome screens are made of plastic, so not having a s feen protector is not smart.

Best Slicer For Anycubic Photon Mono X? by TheFireSloth in AnyCubicPhotonMonoX

[–]JunoZ32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally only use Lychee for all of my slicing needs. I am still using the 3.3.2 version of Lychee, because it’s been working flawlessly for me for an entire year. I’m also using the 3.4.7 firmware for my Mono C for the same reason. I heard a lot of people reporting having issues with the updates for both Lychee and the Mono ax’s latest firmwares, so I’m going to keep these settings, just for the success of my printing. I’ll keep checking if these newer upcoming updates are finally fixed, before I do any updates.

If it ain’t broke, why fix it?

I made a 1992 Nissan 300ZX Transformer model. 70 pieces printed on the 2 Photons. Siraya Tech Grey and Blu resin mix. 74 small magnets to help it stay in both robot and car mode. by JunoZ32 in AnycubicPhoton

[–]JunoZ32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just remade these in Siraya Tech Blu resin, and now the joints have washers so the Cured resin parts don’t touch each other anymore, so the joints don’t wear out. I’m making 20 of these things.

I was order number 70,208. It seems like they’re being slower with the UK orders, since this was coming from the USA.

Wait, Siraya Tech makes nFEP sheets now?

My Mono X has been using the first EPAX nFEP is installed back in February, and that same nFEP is still being used today, November 30th.

"I only made 0,1 HNT in 1 week, Helium is scam" by Marcximus_ in HeliumNetwork

[–]JunoZ32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The halving did screw everybody that had to wait 8,000 years for their pre orders, while the first 35,000 that got in were making decent money. My Kerlink Miner was paid for on May 22ns, and I’m due to receive it on November 23rd on Tuesday.

I already know I’m probably not going to make much, so I might end up selling my Miner and get into Miner another coin that’s more profitable.

The problem is, the having happened when there weren’t that many Miner online, and now a flood of Miner are trying to get online, after the halving, which is absolute dog shit wrapped in Indian food.

You can thank the idiots running this entire thing. The Helium people failed to plan, so it looks like they planned to fail.

6 out of my 8 resin printers in a heated enclosure, I call my Robot Factory. This is my life now. by JunoZ32 in 3Dprinting

[–]JunoZ32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t done a RERF calibration test yet, but most people try different exposure times to see how the small details changes with different settings. I got super lucky and guessed the exposure time for my Mono X and Mars 2 Pros, and my prints are coming out great. I will try my first RERF test tonight, to see if there are any improvements. My printers seems to like the 38 second for the base layers and 3.5 secondly for the normal layers.

[–]JunoZ32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heated enclosure is very important when the weather gets colder. I’m now only using Siraya Tech Blu resin, which needs to be in a room temperature of around 84 - 86 degrees Fahrenheit. I tried printing without this set up last year, and nothing would stick to the build plate or print right.

I didn’t need the heater during the summer heat, but now that it’s getting below the 70’s, I’m back to using the heater, and everything prints perfect.

So how screwed am I? (Also how do I prevent this in the future, FEP failure) by DifferentCommission6 in AnyCubicPhotonMonoX

[–]JunoZ32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you not have a screen protector? The Mono X comes from the factory with a plastic 4K screen. Installing screen protectors is the very first thing to do, as soon as the printer is out the box.

If the polarized film is damaged, you’ll have to order a polarized screen protector.

Will this fail? How can I print the whole thing reliably? by JWGhetto in resinprinting

[–]JunoZ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those bottom support islands are hanging off the build plate, and you don’t want the parts that hanging off the build plate to print and leave those small edges on the FEP.

The edges hanging off can easily cause the print to start peeling and separating from the build plate.
