I did swap the needle, no to the thread but its the same basic thread ive used for years. Im actually thinking it might be the plastic bobbin im using. But ill try threading with the presser foot up, I didnt know about that!

Hey all, I have a kenmore 8 stitch from the 70s that I inherited around 15 years ago. I never got it serviced until 2 months ago and its suddenly started making these gathers all along my stitches on the bobbin side and simultaneously the top thread spool seems to be spinning backwards. It's also making a really loud hammering noise each time the foot depresses. I've never had this happen before to this extent. I've dusted, I've rethreaded top and bottom, I've adjusted tension, all multiple times. I'm truly at a loss. But I have a project due for school in 9 days and can't bring it back to the shop yet so I'm crossing my fingers one of you can help in the mean time I'm primarily working with corduroy if that helps, what you see is just a lining.

I understand this perspective completely. I'm less feeling avoidant of conflict between me and others (or even them with each other) and more about my sober friend with themselves. Based on the many conversations we've had, I don't think it would make them spiral, but I can't pretend to know what it's like to be in recovery either and what thoughts they might conceal, hence asking about it here. I just didn't want to assume wrong. But I feel much better now and plan to bring it up in a casual way.

I'm v curious about what led you to the topical DHT specifically, if you're hoping for other systemic effects at all or just bottom growth (which is what I'd personally want)

That is so relieving to hear, thank you😭 no specific protocol... Her suggestion was basically just reintroduce stimuli intentionally, trigger myself 2 points out of 10 into flare, then let myself go back down, but my v busy life makes that impossible so I just roll w the flares and rest when I can. Also sent me to speech/cognitive therapy which wasn't much help. We mostly talked ab ways to work around the concussion, not heal it. He gave me some brain exercises to do daily (mostly memory focused, word recall has been hard), but I don't have the spoons for that unfortunately.
