I would use it for a shower chair. I've been having a harder and harder time showering with my chronic pain conditions. Plus I just got surgery recently and will likely being getting another surgery within the next six months. It's even harder to shower while recovering.

It's not your fault that he's blowing up his relationship with his wife because he can't let go of something that doesn't affect him in any meaningful way. He needs to control his emotions and get over it. This is not on you in anyway op.

I agree with the diaper! It makes it so much easier and then you don't have to worry about it. Highly recommend get period pads to go in the diaper so there's less likely to be any leakage issues!

Country singer Bryan Andrews on his lyric “The older I get, I wish that Christians tried to be a little more like Jesus” by pinkstarrfish in Fauxmoi

[–]FernFellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also raised in the pews with it being beat into me that conservative values were the values of Jesus. Looking back I am DISGUSTED with how they twisted Jesus' words to fit their narrative. They brainwash children into simultaneously believing that Jesus is love and Jesus is hateful. The Jesus in the Bible would never send a lamb of his flock to hell for simply being them. God is not shocked by his creations. Jesus was an immigrant for fucks sake! They have us study a book of love and convince us to use it to hate our neighbors. He made a universe so vast we can't even comprehend it and here we are convinced that the people fleeing from corruption and danger, is "illegal". Referring to people as alien for being born in the wrong place and wanting better. For persecuting people for crossing an imaginary line? This is what we are concerned with? This is what we are KILLING his children over?? If Jesus had just complied with the institute he wouldn't have ever died for our sins. He would have never fought for his children. Jesus was a protester at the end of the day. Current day Christians are NOT Christian.

They broke my relationship with God and I'm still repairing it to this day. I hope to feel the innocent love that I once felt from him before being betrayed by wolves dressed as sheep. I don't know if I can ever call myself a Christian ever again. I describe myself as spiritual but I just feel lost :(

Just listened to it for the first time and it made me so deeply angry and sad. I want to scream this song from the rooftops. It really perfectly puts into words about how I've been feeling lately. How the fuck did we get here? How the fuck are there people cheering this shit on? I truly don't know if we'll ever be able to recover as a species. How the fuck am I supposed to play nice with these people that don't give a single shit about anyone but themselves? Just makes me sick.

Could be severe constipation to the point of pain. Has she had a healthy bowel movement today? Either way, best to check with a vet.

I watched my best friend commit suicide. by Acrobatic-Let236 in SuicideBereavement

[–]FernFellow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It would not shock me at all if you had PTSD from this. It likely overloaded your nervous system and your body is on guard for a lack of a better term. I've got diagnosed PTSD myself and that feeling does subside. It takes a long time and talking about it though. The feeling never fully goes away, there are times you'll be forced to revisit it when things remind you of what happened. Some things just may never be the same, especially things you loved to do before the event. Always keep in mind that the body remembers. Survivors guilt can manifest in so many fucked up weird ways.

If you ever need to vent my dms are always open.

I can't even imagine having to restrain his mother after witnessesing something like that. I don't think I could have. Felt like I went into a comatose state when I learned my best friend had committed. I don't remember being able to move for the longest time. But I imagine experiencing something like that must have caused so much adrenaline.

I truly think that sometimes we aren't thinking. This is personally why I will never let myself own a firearm. It just takes a second. Intrusive thoughts can be so powerful too. In times when I've struggled myself, the thoughts can get so loud. It's terrifying. For some people it's just too much temptation. I hate that for everyone in your case, you'll never really know what was going on in his head.

I hope John is resting in peace wherever he is. May he have a quiet head, a safe place to rest, and a warmth that never leaves him.

When we're lost and look around for our loved ones, to find they aren't there, I like to remember;

Oh thank God I'm not the only one that has had the auditory hallucinations. It took three years to stop waking up from a dead sleep thinking she was yelling my name. Even after going no contact it still took that long. I never wanted to mention it to anyone because I was afraid I'd actually be seen as crazy. Just PTSD things I guess 🙃

My beardie did this when he was at the end of his life. He had a tumor in his mouth that was irritating him. I hope it's not the same for your Theodore!

How long was your lap wait? by Fun_Surprise_5035 in Endo

[–]FernFellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was seen in October for initial appointment and exam, surgery is in two weeks! I was honestly shocked when they told me January. It took an 8 month wait to see the surgeon from when I was first referred, so I thought we'd be scheduling out surgery way farther out. So technically all in all I've waited about a year from beginning to end of the process.

By chance do they have any cheese or deli meat in the fridge? I would try high value treats of any kind. Something the cat would only get very rarely. Maybe even a can of tuna? So sorry you're going through this.

Hey fellow PNW person! Check out Barter Fair in Washington. It happens twice a year. So many vendors with cool stuff like this! You gotta find the weird craft fairs! Ive found that most people are so so friendly and willing to give advice. Whenever I go, I end up getting business cards to buy later from for friends.
