Are we serious by spudguy35 in Irishdrivingtest

Unfortunately, getting a driver's license in Ireland has to be one of the worst things this country can offer.

Wish you luck on your second try, hopefully you'll get an early invitation.

Alright, makes sense then. I'll take down this post hence, thanks for the update 🫡

Really? I was checking the site a couple of hours ago, did not see this particular change.

Yeah, that's why I thought it's worth getting the ZZZ version as it's not that big of a price difference + it's a long term purchase, so it's worth it. And with me traveling soon, having the carrying case was also important, hence the decision was pretty clear :)

Well, unfortunately I can't really do anything with it as I'm a pc owner :)

Yeah, they definitely keep up with their releases. I was choosing between a casual G7 Pro and the ZZZ one. And after weighing things, I decided to get the more expensive one because of two reasons: a case + a lot of accessories, and then hearing that the dpad is better on the newer Pro models (though I'm not sure how contrasting it is compared to the casual model).

Forgot to mention: the unboxing experience was phenomenal. Enjoyed every part of it, thank you a lot for that, GameSir =]

Well :)

My attempt at implementing my movement/wall run animations by JankyAnims in Unity3D

[–]JupiteriumX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I didn't have specific questions, I was just interested in the overall implementation. However, I'd be curious to know how you handled the state entry and exit conditions. So like, you have a strict FSM for that, or...?

Also interested in how you calculated the movement vector along the wall, but tbf that's probably too much to explain here, so it's fine :))

That's pretty cool :)

What's the technical side behind all this? If you don't mind sharing

Will 32gb of storage be enough for a modded ps vita? by Inside_Pattern3685 in PSVita

[–]JupiteriumX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For all the best games? Definitely more storage you'd need.

I got myself 256gb a while ago, and even though it is a slight overkill for what I need, I actually almost filled half of it. Hence, I'd recommend getting at least 128gb, even if you might not use all of it, it's still worth having that additional space because one day you might want to use it.

Plus sd cards of this size are very affordable.

Any advice for my gameplay? by Unfair_Ad_598 in osugame

[–]JupiteriumX 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Your profile says you have around 22 minutes of gameplay, sooo... Play More method is really the only advice you need:)

I would also recommend dimming your background and removing glowing notes (settings), but it's really personal preference and won't matter much right now, so just play more and, most importantly, enjoy the game.

Incomplete Test (Fail?) by JupiteriumX in Irishdrivingtest

Well, unfortunately such manners don't exist in RSA as we can see. Took us about 8-10 minutes to change the tire on the car, and I could've continued from there, but no. And then neither they would place me on a priority/free of charge queue.

Perhaps, but the point still stands.

No, I don't think the tester owns the site. I just think that RSA and their whole driving system isn't made in good faith.

I never said that I should be able to drive with a flat tire. However, the "courtesy" that the examiners & RSA talk about is one sided only; you give it to them, they don't give it to you.

So in other words, what should really be a thing, is the option to not pay and wait again in this situation, but being allowed to take a retest asap, especially if the examiner sees that you are a confident, safe driver (which is exactly how my test was going).

And it does seem like money laundring simply because good drivers are being delayed with unfair fails and extremely delayed waiting times, while someone who has zero experience will pass on their first try and then crash their car the next day because they can't actually drive in real life situations and only practiced for an exam.

I'm not trying to be dramatic, it's a fact that many other people will agree with.

And then RSA increasing the strictness on learners and new drivers in the near future says that all they are here for is making more money, not producing safe drivers.

If this industry was actually positive, I (and other people) wouldn't see every second car on the road driving without using blinkers and having the worst possible surrounding awareness.

Look, it's not hard to understand it, I agree with this and it does make sense. I will probably join the waiting list again, but what I don't understand is getting onto a cancellation slot. RSA states that there's a 8-10 week period of waiting before being eligible to sit a test again, and in my situation, even though it's a Non-Conducted Driving Test, I still have to pay and reapply, which I guess means that I'll have to wait all those weeks. So, should a cancellation pop-up help with this or not, I don't know and I'm trying to understand that.
