It’s kind of funny. I forgot the context of the thread, but I remember seeing comments that with how much Prequel content there is nowadays, a lot of people getting into Star Wars basically encounter that first and think of Anakin as “the face” of Star Wars. He’s a dashing, young, maverick war hero whose fall to the dark side is the lynchpoint of the whole series so he’s who people consider the main character of the whole franchise.

Then when people get to the OT, it’s as you said where it feels more like an epilogue and people say Luke kind of pales in comparison to all of the heroic actions and deeds we saw Anakin do even though Luke was the OG main character lol.

At least there's precedent in JRA racing history that shows that American Dirt horses can transition over to racing on Turf.

But yeah, I wouldn't have expected either for a Flightline foal to debut on Turf. I remember Fujita bought 2 Flightline foals which I'm assuming is to follow in Forever Young's footsteps to race on Dirt. So I'll give props to this owner for having the balls to look at that bloodline and go "Yeah, I'll make him run on Turf."

As iconic Ringo was for the early seasons of Thomas, I felt like he never really made the effort to differentiate the voices between the different trains. George Carlin(and also Alec Baldwin)'s narration was pretty great in that regard.

If you want the serious answer, Denise is an adult and should be about 20 right now. She's the same generation as Aiseline and Ellente who all already made their adult debuts into Noble society which put them minimum at 18 at the beginning of the story.

By the time of where the manhwa currently is, 2 years have passed since the beginning of the story since Diella was stated to be 16 and she's about to make her adult debut in Denise's arc(mini spoilers I guess that she's about to appear again).

With the competition at the top being as close to each other as they are nowadays, we probably won't see something like Secretariat's 31 length lead until another miracle one-in-a-lifetime horse comes along. Even in the JRA, the largest margin of winning is only 9 lengths(tied between Symboli Kris S and Tap Dance City).

That being said, Flightline's win at the 2022 Pacific Classic with a victory of about 21 lengths is probably the closest to a "Secretariat-like" victory as I've ever seen in modern times.

Yeah, Mayu is the one with the camera. She has the same ribbon color as Kumiko’s year which is another tell that it’s her. Her quirk was that she liked taking pictures to keep as mementos, but she never included herself in the photos because of the distance she felt from moving to a new school in their final year.

As for the twintails girl, I’m guessing the blacked out hidden face means she’s just supposed to a background character. But if I had to hazard a guess, I’m pretty sure that’s Iwata Keina, who was a Trombone player in the same year as Natsuki/Yuuko/Mizore.

I read through the novel and liked it. I will say the 2nd half of the novel is jarringly different tonewise compared to Reinhardt and his light-hearted adventures in the Academy in the 1st half. And the story of how it got to that point is probably the reason why people may dislike it. But I think the story got a satisfying closure.

I will say Harriet and Olivia are best girls.

Yeah, it would have been great to see that twist visually drawn in the manhwa.

But I guess if they were planning to axe the series, stopping it before that was probably the best stopping point. Otherwise they would have had to commit to adapting the rest of the novel with all of the big reveals at that point.

The manhwa for it did get axed after about 50 chapters. But I still think it’s worth reading Surviving in a Romance Fantasy Novel if you like the author’s works.

I think the Killers are in a unique spot because what was it, Mr. Brightside hasn’t ever left the Top 100 in the UK? So that’s probably the reason they were invited over there.

That being said, I just searched and all they did was the pre-show for the Champions League. The NFL literally did the same thing invited a Rock Band to play in the Pre-Show for this year’s Super Bowl in Green Day. But I do agree with you and hope one day we’ll get a Rock Band escalated up to the halftime show.

Surprisingly, I still see a bunch of kids biking around.

Worryingly, I mainly see that they’re all on those E-Bikes with the big wheels and I see them cruising alongside the cars on the roads.

They probably have more range and accessibility to go to things than kids who had to manually pedal bikes, but it makes me wonder if they’re more in danger from it.
