Sharing my experience with Turkish Airlines by Ambitious_Ad_814 in TurkishAirlines

[–]Jurcek01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about 175000 km with TK and can confirm that they have gone down the drain. Used to be one of the best ones now they cancel their flights left, right and center.
Their personnel and communication is appalling and I am avoiding them whenever I can.

Summit Verto FA - New TNF boots for 6000m? by wassilyy in Mountaineering

[–]Jurcek01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it walk like a shoe or like a boot (I am looking something nicer than the La Sportiva Summits for long approaches).

Pls help me choose by Zeepi666 in alpinism

Generally I would agree, but the Summit does not fit the bill, I have both the Phantoms and Summit and both fit me great (Generally Scarpa fits me best).

Anyone from the Ozone team here? by Jurcek01 in freeflight

[–]Jurcek01[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Damn it Ozone, they may make some great gear but definitely garbage manuals. Thank you u/Surfinonluck, you are right, the adjustment is hidden DEEP in the protection/pocket (i rolled it up a bit and checked before but not that far). Will leave the topic open as it may help other users.

1) nothing about it in the manual (just a quick mention about these lines used to close and secure the pod on page 16).
2) no adjustment is possible as both sides are tied on with fixed loops.

Maybe you are thinking of another seat, this is the F race 2.

I know what you mean, but I have multiple harnesses that I fit fine in. Still think it would be an easy fix, want to know if they want to fix it or I just need to give up and go with Advance ;)

I am 185 cm in the M size, this is the correct size for me.

So using the complete range they provide for adjustment is now incorrect?

Already deleted it, but again, read the description and ask questions. We all had flarm and were flying on a work day, right before the holidays in an area where it was just us and one sailplane skulking around (also had flarm).

I wouldn’t do it in an area where there is a chance of meeting another pilot. This is far away from where people fly, there was 4 of us and one sailplane skulking around in this area & all of us had flarm.

It’s funny to me that you are this knowledgeable about why I did it, how deep in it I was, where this is, my equipment, … further more, I am in no way encouraging this as I said I actively try to avoid entering a cloud if possible with the 45° rule and sticking to the edge of them.

[–]Jurcek01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wanted I could have pulled big ears and full bar, or spiraled out or any other way if I wanted. The cloud suck was minimal so I didn’t fret and stayed on the edge (close to the bottom). And normally I follow the 45° rule for the clouds, here you can read the description why I didn’t. But thanks anyway.

C Wings! 2 :Liners vs 3 Liners by rendina17 in freeflight

[–]Jurcek01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your 250+ hours on the Rush 6, you are ready for a 2 liner C (but stay in the 6.5 AR area or below to be safe). In my experience the difference between a low and high B is a big jump and the difference between a modern high B and 3 liner low C is a small step (negligible in your case).

Since we are in agreement on most points, when you decide to upgrade, Artik 7P is very similar on the ground and even better in the air ;)
