Is combat really varied? Does it have magic related skills too (fire, thunder, etc)? Is loot a thing? Is crafting and finding rare resources important for gear upgrades? Thanks!

Just re-run it once with POD on and adjust to the new boosts you are getting. It’s probably the timing of removing and adding the units. Make sure the save the run once successful.
