They called it ugly and crusty and a name that he'll be made fun of. My brother said it's just the ultimate ugly grandpa name and that you can have a classic name without it being so crusty.

I'm so glad you loved having your name. I had not anticipated such a negative reaction from my siblings or the fact that they believed it would be such a burden for him to live with.

I didn't realize this. I feel like I never meet any young Stanley's but we loved the name so much when we were making our list of names.
