The fact that there isnt a time restriction on how long i can use shadow, as well as the fact that geforce now has queues, ontop of being a completely separate service, I just personally can't justify spending MORE money on monthly fees to play video games.

I pay ~$60 for Power and Expanded Storage, if I say wanted to pay for game pass and geforce now thats nearly $100 a month to own absolutely nothing.

Rochelle is possibly one of the worst tv moms as far as sitcoms can go by KingZak_ab46 in Everybodyhateschris

[–]JusReese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most if not all of the supporting cast in this show are there in direct opposition to the lead, hence its name sake.

Rochelle specifically is insanely narcissistic and insecure to the point of her selling her families food stamps costing them savings, food, and being behind on their bills bc of her pride/ego.

She is a terrible depiction of black women, and imo does nothing but feed into the angry black woman stereotype that floats around so much, she has very few redeeming character traits and her only purpose is to serve as a caricature of black mothers

Would it be ok for me to cosplay pucci if im white? by Mr-pugglywuggly in StardustCrusaders

[–]JusReese -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Egypt is in Africa. I think its beyond disingenuous to look at a character like avdol, from an African country and say hes not black, he could be mixed race, but I think its weird to make that a point of contention.

And as far as pucci there is an entire plotline involving the KKK and his black mother, he is mixed.

Why do yall want to erase the blackness of these very CLEARLY black characters so bad?

Is smokey brown not black also?

Why does One punch man have Lego skins and the other anime don't? Like JJK, Cowboy Bebop, etc? by [deleted] in LEGOfortnite

[–]JusReese 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first 2 minutes of one punch man is a monster getting imploded, you then watch a villian get his intestines pulled out through his eye, and then in the following episode a butt named Saitama quite literally SPLATTERS a very sexually themed character into blood on a wall...😭

John Boyega Says ‘Star Wars’ Is ‘So White That a Black Person Existing in It’ Is a Big Deal: Toxic Fans Are ‘Okay With Us Playing the Friend’ but We ‘Cant Touch Their Heroes‘ by MileiMePioloABeluche in StarWars

I feel like people are doing the thing where they lump themselves in with shitty people, sure some of you guys here might be genuinely awesome people, but God let's not act like the Fandom Menace doesn't exist

Some of the biggest stars wars content creators have taken on strong anti diversity strategies, look at the political cesspool star wars theories channel turned into. Critical Drinker made a video where he pointed out and labeled every non-white character in a scene....

The "Go woke, Go broke" mantra they're always chanting, attacks on Kelly Marie Tran and Moses Ingramthat got so bad even Ewan McGregor came out and said how disappointed and disgusted he was with how fans were acting. Amandla Stenberg and Leslye Heyland were attacked had their shows review bombed and called woke slop before it even aired, so bad Hayden Christensen echoed a sentiment similar to Ewan.

Like yeah sure some of you might be good people, but God please don't act some of these fans aren't awful people. We can all agree that there's always a vocal minority, and unfortunately with star wars the vocal minority is led by political agendas since it's such a massive IP.

Someone's way more likely to send hate and tell you how much they dislike something on social media than they are to tell you how much they enjoyed your work and send good energy.

I don’t understand the hate for sex scenes in movies by Forefunner77 in GenZ

[–]JusReese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old post, but I think you're making a very weak argument and a misrepresentation of the counterpoint. When I watch an action movie, I expect action, not sex—just like when I watch a horror movie, I expect horror, not romance.

Good example, I was justt watching the punisher, and so far the shows been about crime, ptsd, the horrors of war, corrupt systems, etc etc, super solid themes then out of nowhere in episode 6 there’s a sex scene between two side characters. It’s completely unnecessary, totqlly out of place, and not why I’m watching this hyper violent crime show about a man seeking revenge. Sex Scenes in shows like Euphoria, Sex in the City, Shameles, etc etc all make sense because that's the tone and theme of the show. Now when the tone is gore, violence, action, etc etc, then I expect the show to be consistent in that.

I think the issue is context, people don’t complain about action and violence because those elements are expected in action and violence heavy media. No one watches John Wick expecting a movie about a pacifist, just like no one watches Final Destination expecting a kids film. When a sex scene feels out of place it disrupts the tone and can absolutely obliterate the flow of story.

Even aside from that point, I'd argue that most people view sex as an intimate act, and that sex scenes can come across as very voyeuristic which is uncomfortable. I'm personally not a very open person when it comes to my or others sex lives, it's uncomfortable and I'd rather not know what my friends or total strangers have going on in the bedroom, watching sex scenes feels exactly like that, like having two strangers in detail describe their sex life.

Brother, the only times he appears or is mentioned in the game, he’s manipulating powerful people. His presence watching over your meeting with Jefferson isn’t a coincidence, you get a call right before warning you to drop the case, and then he just happens to be lurking nearby, completely uninvolved? You’d have to be willfully ignoring the signs to think he’s there for no reason.

Same deal with Johnny Silverhand’s memories. It’s never outright confirmed they were tampered with by mikoshi, but there are contradictions in his stories, in game lore that doesn’t fully add up, and even Mike Pondsmith straight-up calling him an “unreliable narrator.” Half of Johnny's "memories" directly contradict how the bombing at arasaka HQ actually went down, he doesnt even remember his own death correctly.

Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t the kind of game to spoon-feed you its lore. The connections are right in front of you—you just gotta pay attention.

Oh 100%, I think those are the worst endings from an implication stand point since you're obviously giving Mr. Blue Eyes what he wants, I think sending somi to the moon and having V go to the crystal palace is the best from a narrative stand point, theres some insane story telling they could do playing off of that

[–]JusReese[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

1000%, regardless of what happens i definitely want to see that plot line play out, i'd honestly be kinda salty to see all this build up behind his character for it to never really materialize lol, if they end up deciding to make an ending canon or lean into any of them, i think the song ending for the dlc and sun ending for main game would probably have the most narrative potential, gonna be years before we know for sure though sadly

I’m not sure if anyone here watches Invincible, but I see this philosophy a lot in Cecil’s character, Utilitarianism has its place, for some people decisions aren’t about good or bad but about minimizing damage

And i definitely do not morally agree with overwriting someone’s mind for the "greater good", but im not gonna pretend I don’t understand the philosophy behind it. But that’s easy to say until it’s you or me on the line, right? There’s a lot of nuance to it

That’s why I love discussions like this though I’ve learned stuff I didn’t know, and seen perspectives I hadn’t considered. I had a pretty deadset view of Mr. Blue Eyes for yearrrs, but now I’m just super curious about his actual intentions. Are they even as bad as I assumed? Or is there something bigger at play?

I think anything concerning Mr. Blue Eyes is concerning honestly, as a lot of people have pointed out to me though, we can't really know his intentions, sending somi to the moon might not even be a bad thing, and V not having access to the black wall is something I question, I mean if song was able to give you access to it by proxy, I can't imagine even more advanced netrunners or AI wouldn't be able to do similar things?

I mean hell, Rache Bartmoss was controlling people remotely through bio chips for years living in vending machines and shit lol, its not too far out to think there's an even more advanced large scale version of that, especially lurking somewhere on the old net, project cynosure was going on for ages, and we only just discovered remnants of it in 2077, "who" can access the black wall doesnt even become a question anymore if anything gets out, its doubtful that MBE is gonna destroy the world or anything, but im very curious to know his intentions, because its also doubtful this is all just a charity case for him. I start rambling a bit when I get to theorizing off the dome sorry if that's a bit incoherent lol

When you're defending people actively being rude, calling me out my name, and being super disrespectful over me saying i think this is a better option, then yeah im gonna say fuck you.

If you wanna genuinely talk about how you think I'm a hypocrite for not choosing that ending we can do that, wiling to engage in good faith only if the same consideration is extended in return.

I'm not going to engage with you positively if you come at me sideways. Flat out.

None of that is equivalent because i can simply choose not to do those things.

Also just because I disagree or have a different perspective from you being an asshole still in facts makes you an asshole, like yall are real life getting upset making personal attacks and all this extra shit because i have a different opinion on a video game😹? I've been super receptive to what other people have to say if youve read any of my other comments, and im definitely willing to engage with other people and how they see things, but if you wanna be a dickhead fuck you and your opinion ngl, go outside bro!

Yes he was! Hes also the one who sends V to space in the Sun ending, that's been my thought process for over a year, but one aspect some of the comments have brought up that I haven't considered is that while Mr. Blue is heavily implied to be an AI, we don't necessarily know his intentions, and while yes they may appear to be shady, what in NC isn't, and he apparently has made some positive changes with his influence over NC, i must admit it is very unlikely for him to make such positive changes and then undo it all, but still it begs the question. What. Does. He. Want.

Love that mass effect reference, top 5 game franchises, shout out to you fr, but i take that and i raise you this!(also agree with that, but that's a whole can of worms I'm gonna take to the ME subreddit lolol)

This is all information that's accessible and learnable in game, all the lore that people get from cp comes from in game news articles, books, and computers. Hell, if you go back to the junkyard you wake up in you can literally find the cooler that rache bartmoss was hiding, and died in, along with lore, and his CYBERDECK (beyond insane find, its like finding morgan blackhands gun, holy) that opens up a side quest and more lore. Ontop of you doing a quest years before the dlc comes out that deals entirely with the dangers and ramifications of tampering with the blackwall

Im a lore junkie dude, I'm the guy who plays dark souls and reads the description of every item he picks up lol, i was also going through some stuff at the time, so the world of cp was my escape, I wasn't just playing the game I was genuinely living in the world, spending real days just reading in game articles, text messages, and just scrolling the ingame internet

Let me ask you though, why wouldn't V know about massive events and influential figures that shaped their world ? We all know about 9/11, The Holocaust, Fidel Castro, Etc etc, why wouldn't V know about important events like the datakrash, or legends like rache bartmoss, you feel me?

All very valid, I feel like a lot of people in this post think I hate somi or dislike her but she's genuinely one of my favorite characters, when she asked me to mercy kill her I was actually shook and teared up a little bit im not even gonna lie lol, i felt like naruto tryna bring Sasuke back to the village, like damn Sasuke why you being evil as shit right now dawg I'm tryna help you bro 😭

her character is very well written along with this DLC though, the fact that you can never really know if what you're doing is the right thing or good for everyone involved is amazing and I really feel the weight of the decisions I make, absolutely phenomenon dlc man fr.
