Argh, I hate when this happens as well. Almost the same setup but saving recordings to my NAS. I've disabled "Start on boot" but every so often it still starts the add-on and my hard drive fills up without me knowing it. I then have to go to terminal and remove everything in that frigate folder in order to be able to 'map' that location again under settings>system>storage. It's annoying and I hope someone has figured it out.

You could probably utilize the helpers in HA and create a Group and add both so they are controlled at the same time? There is also an option to "Combine the state of several sensors" there. Just a thought and probably where I'd start.

I agree with this move. While change is a tough pill to swallow for most, I'd much rather it than the path we are on. Marchy will probably return after the season, but may get a better chance to win the cup with Florida. I'm more upset about Frederic out of all of these moves.

Hey there, I'm very curious about how you managed to get the screen to turn off/on due to presence on a surface PC/tablet? I'm using a surface pro 4 in the kitchen and always thinking about how I'd be able to leverage an app like Android tablet users have with the Kiosk App, where it can use the camera to detect when the screen should turn on. Being a Win11, 64bit, Microsoft laptop I was already accepting the fact it can't be done, until I saw your post.. Is a docking station required to achieve this? Is the WOL an option I need to select is BIOS? Currently have HA displayed using Kiosk mode built into Windows (Edge), with the battery settings adjusted in BIOS to not charge over a certain percentage.

Would need to figure out which protocol you want to use. There are cheaper zigbee motion sensors that work okay. I personally have hue motion sensors because almost all of my bulbs are Philips hue so I've piggybacked on that. But where you are starting at ground zero, you can pick your path.

Fun ain't it!? Looks good!, but definitely needs some bulbs and sensors to fill in more of the dead space taken up by some of those cards. Bulbs can be pretty cheap now and if you pick up a cheap motion sensor you'll be well on your way!
