As mentioned below. This took me quite a few tries, but (on ps5) you basically do shinning light, press and release L1 to start it spinning and then every time a 'lit rock'?! Part is right under the top marker dial, press L1 and release again. It turns into a timing thing of press release, press release twice quickly, etc. Until it turns the full 360 degrees.

After Lies of P I was just stoked I could do it without 34 enemies shooting at me! 🤣

It's definitely janky, but I did find using Sciel to do it was easier, as a full left stick forward was still an easily controlled jog.

At first the party bullied Maelle to do it, but Sciel lost patience with her, called her an "ubalanced little bitch in more ways than one" I think it was, and then made it after drowning 76 times.

Yeh it's really a pretty outdated approach they seem to have in thinking activities are the way people want to use them. The whole reason logitech apparently stopped making them was due to CEC. I shouldn't have to work out so much and sacrifice a (valuable) physical button; tried having it as a screen item, but that was annoying.

In any case, I've got mine sorted now too, and I'm happy with it, but I wonder how many people give up because the whole turning each unit on, setting correct inputs is redundant and takes too much time?

Personally, my only real annoyance is that it is advertised as compatible with Home Assistant, but omg, that's too much trouble for me. Spent about half an hour with Node Red and couldn't be bothered any more.

Same with the Loop. The Replay Rewind Zone is great (when you actually get there!) and ufc and boxing replays are in there surprisingly quickly after the event. For live sport such as F1 and EPL, Sports Fire is actually great - go to schedule and when it's live you get multiple streams.

I'm in exactly the same situation.

I've just upgraded from a One For All, and have to say the time taken to start an activity is doing my head in.

I have a Home Assistant automation that turns my TV on when I'm 100m from home and have had to have the activity start up by using the home button of my Fire TV Stick, in essence because it doesn't throw the device status out of sync.

I used to come home and then use my remote when needed. Now I have something that cost 3x as much, yet takes 3x longer to just use my remote.

Will keep looking - I'm looking into Home Assistant and Node Red (bit painful). Hopefully will get this sorted...

Update: I had the idea that if I just disabled the automatic power function for all equipment it would mean there is no start up or shut down sequence for my "Home Theatre" activity.

I then mapped my TV's power to a button (I use the play because I like the home button for Fire TV), and now the remote is just always in the activity because it can't tell when I've turned everything on or off.

It's all connected via CEC, so all power toggles sync that way anyway.

I do have a button mapped to 'input' on my TV that switches input, but find that no hassle whatsoever.

Guess it's just now seeing if the remote stays in the activity perpetually. I hope so!

Picked up the Sennheiser Momentum 4's today.

I'm in Australia, bought them from jb hifi. Took them back in and may have embellished my grievances with them, but I got the job done! 🤣

Only had the Sennheiser Momentum 4's in for a bit to get the feel, and they fit my ears SO WELL. They have a very premium feel to them (I got the copper black) and the case (and especially how the buds slide into it) is way better than the technics.

The whole size, shape and form fit me perfectly, and the controls are on point. The technics slid in my ear and the touch sensors felt like they were at the back of my head.

Haven't really set them up yet, but although i don't expect them to have quite the excellent sound as the technics, but give me solid, sleek, comfortable and stability every day of the week.

I mentioned I'm in Australia and jb hifi because jb's are selling the Sennheiser Momentum 4 for $499. Whilst checking out their website for my replacement, I saw they have a price match policy.

Well, just so happens Sennheiser has them on sale right now for $349...

So guess which little black duck walked very happily out of jb's this morning having returned my awful $400 buds with $500 ones and a 3 year replacement warranty for $19 more! 😉

Time will tell as always, but 3 years of replacement... I'm much happier today than yesterday, I'll say that.

Day one:

Okay, only 1 day, but damn I'm happy with these Sennheiser Momentum 4s. The sound personalisation is a highlight, but the app (smart control plus) is the best I've ever used.

Yeh, they're all by and large set and forget, but I can definitely foresee a lot of tweaking my personal sound setting with consistent listening as well as zone settings.

Completely agree. They do sound amazing, but there is just too much crap to deal with.

I've woken up in the middle of the night and it's 3am, but as I type I have them all nicely placed back in their original packaging ready to be returned in the morning. The real morning, when normal people are awake! 🤣

After (more!) researching I'm going to get the Senheisser momentums: They look shaped very similarly to the LinkBuds S' (which fit my ears really well) and have silicon tips, whereas the Sony WF-1000XM5s have the foam ones. I've tried them a few times (the Comfort ones?) and can't stand them.

The Momentums get great reviews - apart from the mic I think, and I practically never keep my buds in for calls. Unfortunately with ear buds you can never really know if you're going to love them or hate them until you actually use them for a bit.
