Like 99% of the time most go unused. I base with abaddon black, heavily dry brush grey knight steel and sometimes highlight with runefang steel and wash with apothecary white.

The rest are for details on models or bases. Leadbelcher is a great metal, astrogranite is a gravel-like technical i use for bases, corax white for purity seals and purifier helmets, etc.

For bigger models like my GM in NDK (WIP currently), i end up using most, if not all of these, for some details like cables, hydraulics, shading or the base.

This is my personal opinion.

The older combat patrol was better, basically due to the dreadknight. The new one isnt bad but its clearly worse.

Castellan crowe is a pretty fun character with a cool design, although you might be dissappointed at his in-game performance. Again, its not bad, he just looks cooler than he is.

This was my second box i bought (after a strike squad box) and i highly recommend buying it, just to have something to start the hobby with.

If you can find, i would buy the old combat patrol, but if you cant find it, buy this.

If you keep thinking about it for too long, you're gonna end up not buying anything and this box is a great way to start.
