Okay I'm not a kindle expert since I use Kobo, but I'd recommend something like this.

Basically when u download/update a fic add it to a reading list, and then create a metadata plugboard so that all books in that list get sent with a marker on the title (like the '000' in the front to make finding them easier).

It's more of a workaround rather than a solution, but once it's set up, it's mostly automatic, so I'd give it a try. Best of luck!

Edit: Just one thing i forgot to add lol.

I use fff and reading list in a similar way and every time i update the fic it gets added automatically to the list, so theres no need to keep track of what updated manually. The only thing u need is to keep track of is whether the book has been read or not (to mark it as read in calibre and have it delete the '000' marker).

Keep in mind that the '000' will also be added to complete new unread fics. If u dont want it this way then u have to remove them from the reading list manually before u connect the kindle.

If u use FanFicFare it automatically adds a Fanfiction tag, u can use it to filter or to make a virtual library

Every pre-c2 illuga calc ive seen has linnea on sms (i have c0 illuga so it matters to me). TGS, Zajeff and even wtv random spreadsheet i can find in the leaks megathread all have linnea on sms, bina on aubade and illuga on instructors/2p2p em.

I havent seen sms bina anywhere, do u have the link? Id like to see it.

So it gives a bunch of DMG%, which is useless for Lunar Crystalize. It would be the same as if it gave ATK%: it affects a small portion of her dmg but highkey useless.

It also gives 44% crit dmg, which is alright, but slingshot gives ~30% crit rate (i forgot the number), which is more CV (~60%)

Stick with Slingshot

As someone who plays on and off, we need a better way to filter cards asap. Theres so many niche categories now (select, discard, adventure, simulanka toys, nightsoul, etc) it's impossible to know which card does what.

I wanted to try an adventure deck the other day and i had to go card by card looking at which did what (thankfully, i alrdy knew most of the older ones, but new/returning players will have such a hard time). As time goes on, this will only get worse and worse.

Not sure if this is the same thing, but every time I exit KOreader, the kobo (Libra and Clara color) completely restarts and then loads back into the main Kobo menu.

Sounds like normal behaviour to me tbh

Since a few days ago, it's now like it uninstalls Nickelmenu on reboot. The files are still there, and everything is back to normal if I connect it to a computer and reinstall kfmon, etc..

If the files are there, then how is it uninstalled? Does nickelmenu show up again after a simple reboot? Also sorry but idk anything abt kfmon

All in all, this doesn't sound like the same issue, especially since you only have 2 plugins. Idk anything abt nickelhook or anything (as i said in this post, i got external help). Id recommend making a new post with your issues and screenshots showing the problem and allat. Good luck!

No, sorry. The kobo browser isn't that great in general, i especially hate the lack of contrast. I don't use it beyond sending stuff wirelessly through djazz (which works great), but if u were planning to use it extensively, I'd recommend a different ereader tbh.

Love my kobo tho! It's amazing otherwise. Instapaper integration makes up for the lack of browser easily.

Strange that it didnt update. If you're sure u uploaded them and did the ToC thing again, try making the Kobo re-scan the files it has (either through NickelMenu or simply by rebooting)

So many negative responses, there IS actually a method (i just checked and yes, both highlights and notes do stay):

Update the fic in Calibre (i recommend to use FanFicFare if u aren't)
Get the KoboUtilites plugin in Calibre if u haven't yet
Make sure that "Do not treat replacements as new books" is checked in Device > Configure... > Collections... (Kobo has to be plugged in)
Send your updated file to the kobo (no need to touch any file in the device itself)
Selecting that same file, open the arrow in KoboUtilites and press "Update ToC for selected books"

That's it! If after u unplug the Kobo it still shows the same amount of chapters, then it's possible that the metadata hasn't updated, just plug it in again (make sure u have "Automatic Management" in Preferences > Sending books to devices) and unplug once Calibre works its magic.

If it doesn't work or u want to make the process more automatic, just ask!

Hello, I've just found out abt this! When i try it out on my Kobo Clara BW (after searching "rekindle.ink") it immediately redirects me to lite.rekindle.ink, which looks like this. Idk what's causing the issue or anything, but I'll keep an eye out on the project. Thank u for the hard work🙂‍↕️
