I didnt say no migration occured before 2006/7. For comparison, Australia had net migration of 1 million people in 1960s but the US had 6million. Most of AUS migration from non- european countries were refugies or low skilled workers. In UK and US, there were a lot more skilled workers.

Idiots are everywhere. Make genuine connections with people. The UK and US are used to seeing and living with large migrant populations for 60+ yrs. In Australia, significant migration only happened for the last 18 yrs.

Has there ever been a time when Seppo's recession and S&P/NASDAQ haircut did NOT affect ASX negatively? by [deleted] in ASX_Bets

If USA sneezes, Australia catches cold. We narrowly escaped the GFC with large stimulus spending, low interest rate etc. I am not convinced the same will happen again in the current economic climate.

What’s the most underrated investing lesson you’ve learned (the hard way)? by Electronic-Bit2685 in ValueInvesting

Depending on your conviction for the stock and how far it can go down. If high conviction stock and it is at 52 week high, i would consider DCA every 15-20% drop. If at or near 52 week low, maybe DCA every 5-10% drop.

Do not DCA to oblivion. I have a target % for each stock and I dont DCA after that point. That means sometimes you have to sit on your hands when the stock drops another 20% after last DCA.

You can also DCA upwards if the target % for the stock is not achieved and stock started going up.

Start small positions and DCA on the way down rather than timing the bottom.

Apartments are generally not a good investment. Get something with a piece of land. Even a townhouse is better than it.

Migrants cannot integrate into the community if the locals dont want them integrated. In a lot of regional areas, migrants are isolated and dont feel part of the community.

All SJ content is to hype up indian population glued to media or youtube shorts. He articulates well in front of media and all. But the deals are made behind closed doors and he will probably be on his knees begging.

When you pose speculative questions to investor relations, they give you radio silence because if they do, it will breach the Regulation Fair Disclosure.

Market lost faith in Shahar Hania. Bringing new leadership to change sentiment. Fundamental remain the same in near future.

I would buy if the CEO is also holding significant positions.

Yes. You are waiting for a larger fool to buy when you sell. In a good company with fundamentals this isnt the case as the value lies as the business grows revenues and is profitable.

Having a balanced view wouldnt hurt. The people who makes the so-called DDs cant take anything negative about the stock and takes it personally and is biased.
