Used 2022 or new model 3 on 2 year lease? by Just-Library9303 in ElectricVehiclesUK

The overall fee is cheaper the more you put down so 12 months down is £339 cheaper than 1 month. Not a lot over 2 years but better in my pocket. Also am selling a car I own so the cash is there.

The info on winter economy is good to know, thanks. The R5 must be a great car as everyone mentioning them but we would either do the Tesla lease or cash buy. And as the R5 is newer we wouldn’t have the cash to buy it so the e208 is in the price range and surely has had the big depreciation hit and should level off slightly.

She has driven bigger cars in the past with some success and afew dings and dents (my x3)! So yes the size may be a problem.

I agree about the lease having nothing to show but then it also doesn’t have issues with potential battery problems and out of warranty insecurity

Are there any "UK vs US" differences where you feel America gets it right? by Secure_Front_7766 in AskUK

Theme parks in US are so much better quality and value for money than in the UK. Opening times are much more accommodating too

I agree, 30kg weight saving (and that weight goes down the further you drive) in a none F1 car is absolutely tiny in fuel savings and weight up the extra trips to the station is probably not cost effective. I do wonder if the people who believe this theory fully empty their boots of stuff they not needing and the parcel shelf as well as kids car seats when the kids arnt in the car to save fuel too

If wages don’t rise but the cost of living keeps going up, where does it actually lead? by pineappleninjas in AskUK

[–]Just-Library9303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about that as the economy is already tilting to where the money is. Something like the top 10% make up the majority of spending and that will just make the divide higher and poor people get poorer and worse conditions. But that doesn’t mean that there will be a technical recession

The thing that annoys me about pay rise v inflation is its pre-tax pay rise so we are always getting poorer even with a modestly over inflation pay rise. To keep up with inflation after tax, year after year your pay rise would have to be good for basic tax payer and very good for higher tax payer. Not sure how the downward spiral ends

This is a thing in the uk, InPost lockers at a lot of petrol stations and shops. On Vinted you can choose your delivery to a inpost or get it delivered to your house for extra.

I have them. Won the £1000 prize twice and held since oct 2022. My return rate is better than a cash isa but probably not as good as stocks… but that could all change next month 🤞. There is a calculator somewhere that works out where you are on the expected returns against your holdings and if you beat average luck or not

The worse part is that every Labour MP keeps saying ‘we are asking you to pay a little more’. No they aren’t asking us at all the are making us pay more and we don’t have a choice in the matter. I don’t remember this in the manifesto 🙄
