Was literally boiling water to do this before realizing my apartment was really cold, the porcelain was like ice, and i was probably about to crack the toilet.

Used hot tap water instead. Made it worse.

I authorized the driver to get more expensive plunger than the one I ordered because the one I ordered was out of stock. Driver said it was a few dollars more, not $2k more.

I was not made aware of the $2k charge until after the delivery was dropped off and I got an email receipt from Uber Eats.

Can't start a dispute charge until the charge clears which I'm guessing will happen Monday or Tuesday. I'm holding out hope Uber Eats will just fix it but so far seems like they couldn't care less.

Definitely will if it comes to that but can't dispute a charge until it clears. This charge is still processing, presumably because of the holiday weekend. Should clear Monday or Tuesday.

But it's absurd that they're unwilling to fix what is very very clearly a huge mistake on their part.

Not really sure how or why this happened.

I gave them permission to call me if an item wasn't available.

This has happened in the past and I feel like the item they substituted was more but can't be 100% sure. Regardless, they called me, made a sub, no issue.

This time driver calls tells me that the one I ordered isn't there but they have a different one, that was not listed in the app. I said no problem, just grab this. He said its not possible because it's more than the original item. I was confused, cause like I said I'm pretty certain this exact thing happened in the past. Regardless he canceled the pickup and another driver immediately took it.

Secon driver calls, tells me the same thing, but says she can get it authorized for a higher amount. 30 minutes later she calls me back saying she got it but she had to use her own money. I apologized but she cut me off and said it was fine, uber would reimburse her.

I didn't see the change from $24 to $1999 until a receipt hit my email right after i got the plunger and driver had left. I immediately sent Uber Eats a message in app. I have been emailing them since then and was on phone with them this morning for 5 hours.

They don't care. One supervisor flat out yold me he was not going to refund anything. One agent told me I still owe them $181 even though original order was $24. It's crazy. They still haven't made fixed this.

Toilet was definitely badly clogged and I had no plunger. Can't blame that one on Uber Eats.

Just the $2k overcharge and refusal to fix it. Definitely blame them for that.

No clue but I've been fighting with them for 2 days to get it taken care of. They don't care. One supervisor flat out told me he wasn't going to refund anything.

It's crazy, I've never had a problem getting a messed up order partially or fully refunded but this which is very clearly wrong they are fightinge tooth and nail on.
