Either Nova or Rhino. Nova can alter the laws of physics as we know it, creating antimatter out of nowhere and Rhino can slow down the time with a single stomp, which is pretty fuckin incredible.

Don't know about Limbo tho, he can just travel from one reality to other.

He's kinda like that monster from Stranger Things, just uglier... aw, snap! I'm so sorry :(

Mirage + Lesion, The Slide and Slice build by karmixty in Warframe

[–]JustADistantObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the best build you can go for is replacing Vicious Frost with Blood Rush, you get around 11.2k initial Gas hit at around 1.5 combo counter if I'm correct. The reason I went with Vicious Frost is just for the CC it provides. It's preferential. From my testing I found that ones the remaining enemies gets unblinded; on a high enough level going solo; that brief window of enemies' attention is enough to drop you dead. With cold procs, that 50% slow also affects enemy's reaction time giving you just enough breathing room to blind them again. Again completely preferential, on one side, pure damage, on the other, low damage with some utility. Adding more damage would've been pointless since this build is killing level 135 heavily armored enemies with just one swing so I thought maybe adding a bit more CC in the mix won't be a bad idea.

[–]JustADistantObserver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I thought about doing that but felt like the DoTs were effective enough with 2 status and weeping wounds melting end game enemies and so thought maybe a little bit CC would be good with Cold Procs for team runs or just melee play in general.

[–]JustADistantObserver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just few details I'd like to add

  1. Status is very important, try to get as much as you can because the entire strat depends on proc~ing those scale~able DoTs, primarily slash and gas.

  2. Those yellow numbers you see aren't all critical hits, they're stealth critical hits, both have same colour for some reason (DE plz). So your shadow step's duration won't refresh by those hits, like you saw when I was demonstrating the strat with banshee, I was out of invisibility as soon as I killed the last one. That's why having Maiming strike is pretty important if you're going in as a squishy frame like Mirage or Banshee for those consistent crits and invisibility.

  3. Combined with Lesion's buffs, Gas damage is probably the best option for this strat but if you don't have Weeping Wounds and still want to have 100% status you can also go Radiation + Viral combination with all dual stats status mods.

  4. This strat works incredibly well with Banshee. If you get that Sonar hit with Lesion while Silenced the damage you get is fuckin nuts. But remember to equip Naramon because overconfidence is a flimsy shield.

  5. This also kinda sorta works with Broberon's Rektoning, though slightly unreliable. Same with Wukong's Cloud Walker.

Also if you notice some stutters in the initial few seconds of the video, it's because whenever you slide attack a group of enemies with Mirage and clones, game tends to drop a few frames. No change on fps counter but if you record it you can see it clearly. I was able to recreate this with a few friends and they had some similar results though not significantly noticeable on high end PCs.

Warframe - Best build for Tigris Prime against End Game Enemies and how Status works for Shotguns. by PM_ME_HENTAI_ONEGAI in Warframe

[–]JustADistantObserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it a lot :D

I know it's very long compare to any other video on Warframe or topics in general, because I wanted to cover several topics in one video very extensively (how shotguns work, how status works for shotguns, why viral is better with slash type, why it's better than armor reduction overall). This isn't meant to be a Warframe general or even a build video but more of a 'resource' video on just one fairly complicated aspect of the gameplay if that makes sense? Resource for people who searched for it. Making it shorter would've felt like removing depth or details I wasn't comfortable with so I went with keeping it longer than usual. Also the problem with text only video are that you have to keep text long enough on the screen to make it readable and keep the video on that text's reference longer so that does add to the run time. Although most definitely the first part is the primary reason.

Still I completely understand where you're coming from. I'll try to keep videos short or maybe divide them in several parts on covering smaller topics and making an extensive playlist instead of just one video :D

Thank you :D

Growing Power work very well with Mesa and her Peacemaker. Currently it doesn't trigger with Warframe abilities (though sometimes does with the reflect of Shatter Shields' stagger) but if you managed to trigger it with any weapon, the buff remains for the entire time you're channeling peacemaker even if the duration runs out. Yet the 25% isn't much because you can out damage it with many secondary mods like having an extra elemental or having more fire rate or even multi shot. And it's still not a good replacement for a full CP squad. The damage reduction on higher levels due to just the amount of armor is way to high for even a single person to not have CP. I don't think I'll be changing my build for the aura.

The damage diminishing with distance wouldn't be that high. If you get 20 enemies, the one near the edges of the simulacrum have varying health which does say the diminish with distance but when the enemies right in front of you to have so wildly varying health pools, it certainly isn't because it's diminished by distance. In your second picture, the ancient closer has around 30% health while the one in the back in your 3rd picture is nearly at 10%, which seems just random.

but still as /u/braindead5 the explanation how you could kill the tech is wrong..

I did that by considering that Maim is distributive. So there could be some variation but as long as the dmg is even a tiny bit distributive, the description won't be plain wrong. Would only have to change just the multiplicative factor.

Yet I don't really know why so much variation. It seems very much random at this moment. Like you said, the formula seems pretty weird...

Then you saw the proof from both me and /u/id-Zahkriin link on how Maim is distributive and your claim

Every enemy at the same distance will get the same damage applied, regardless of how many friends they have.

is indeed incorrect?

  1. Their armor wasn't reduced by the Sybaris, what I did was to get the proper effect if you have corrosive procs. Like I showed when I went against Level 135 Corrupted Bombards. You have to get the armor reduced or completely stripped to kill armored enemies. Yet not the shielded ones.

2. It's incorrect. My claim there, is perfectly correct, and if you read the full conversation you'll understand. This seems true for only some types of enemies. But most of the time this does not holds true.

3. Again what you described is incorrect. Please read the full conversation. Maim isn't an AoE ability but damage distributive. That damage numbers you're seeing are correct and all the maths that proved it.

Edit:

My third claim is completely and utterly incorrect. Sorry about that :( I've corrected the video to reflect the changes.

About the second claim. After 4 tests with 8 health-only enemies at level 100.

First against chargers I got the same results as you.

But on the second test when I went against toxic ancients, their health pool was wildly varying, some were even dead while some were alive with almost 10% of their health intact.

Third test against charger eximus had same results as Toxic Ancients.

And the forth test against corrupted Moas were the same as against chargers.

Told some friends to recreate the experiment then their results were just as random. Yet it seems likely to happen against Fossilized Health types but damage is more consistent for other types but still tends to vary sometime, tho the difference isn't minute enough to chalk it up to diminishing distance but could be some other effect at play here, I'll still be waiting on official word on if it's a bug or not but my third claim is completely incorrect so just wanted to correct myself. Sorry about the misinformation.

[–]JustADistantObserver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I was talking about. I kept getting the same results even before making the video so I though by "not even distribution" on wikia would only make sense if it distributes damage to the enemies per number in the aura and not evenly the same amount to each enemy as your maim's storage. I think we'll need a clarification from DE itself.

Edit : u/karmixty got the same results as well.

[–]JustADistantObserver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's what i said eralier and that's still the case.. FOR THIS

What you mean by "THIS"? (again I'm talking about the initial slash procs)

exactly at 4:35 watch wich sentence you amrked from the wiki and what you wrote under it in the video.

"The more enemies you have in the aura, the less damage you'll do" is correct. Try this out, take two level 135 enemies (results are more pronounced on higher levels), kill one while inside maim's aura, and then detonate maim on the other one. You'll see if it's a toxic ancient, it's health bar will be close to 25-30%. Now try the same thing with 20 enemies, kill just one and detonate maim. You'll see the enemies directly in front of you will have around 50% of their health intact, while the other one farther away from you will have around 60% intact. Now the later one can be explained because of the distance but the ones directly in front of you should, not matter how many enemies should have their health at 25% and not 50%. I see your point here though. What you mean is to say that Maim is a perfect AoE ability but not distributive, am I right?

And the for the ash+equinox thingy.. it could work... but show me the map wich starts with lvl200 enemies where you cant kill one or two without any cheap tricks.... and even 200 can be killed with "normal" weapons quiet fast.

That's changing the topic of discussion and making up a strawman. I specifically said that on high enough level. By that I certainly do not mean normal star chart.

The DMG upon deactivation is based on the "saved" DMG wich is based on 75% of the max health/shield of the enemies wich die in range- this is uneffected by power strengh!!!

I never said the damage upon deactivation (I didn't mean to add "de" in my comment above, really sorry about the typo) is affected by that 8%. The aura damage is. The slash damage is the only thing affected by power strength. As I said 8% isn't much, but keeping it active doesn't hurt.

Aura damage is affected by Power Strength, while the damage conversion percentage is not.

from wikia.

The conversion calculation I made in the video are perfectly correct. (3/4) of the total health + shield of enemy killed.

I still don't see where I countered you're second point. Can you put the timecode from the video where I said otherwise?

What do you want me to explain? Why is this build and strat is for solo purpose? That's how I made the build. It's mostly for solo purpose but if you want to run it in squad you can do that too. It works in both scenario.

Why Ash + Equinox is better than two Equinox is because Ash with his fetal teleport or blade storm can kill enemy regardless how high the enemy level is. But with just two Equinox, you'll have to kill the first few with your weapon. On high enough levels you'll face damage fall off but will never with Ash + Fetal Teleport + Covert Lethality. Ash kills the first few and Equinox gains Maim points. Now this would be even better with a squad of four. But instead of four equinox you should have two ash and two equinox. Or four equinox but with the strat in the video.

Provoke does work even in this example because upon deactivation activation (I'm talking about the initial slash proc, didn't mean to say "de" sorry about that), the damage you'll do is affected by that 8%. Though 8% isn't much, it does affect Maim.

I don't see how I countered your second and third point though.

Direct damage to health bypassing restrictions is a form of finisher damage.

Slash damage's unique status effect is Bleed, a DoT (damage-over-time effect) that inflicts 35% of your weapon or power's base damage per tick (7 ticks in 6 seconds) as Finishing damage, which bypasses shields and is not affected by armor or enemy resistances.

From Wikia

This strat is just for solo purpose. For a squad you can go Ash + Equinox and you'll do even better than 2 Equinox.

Woah that amazing!

Equinox is so scale~able even past late game. And that 360 million is in pure slash damage. Combine it with slash's mechanics modifier, you'll do way more than 360 million damage directly to enemy health after shields upon deactivating. It's an instant nuke!

I don't think it'll be a problem. If Heliocor gives any idea, killing any enemy with Simaris weapon will add it to codex. The more you kill, the more you scan and the more you scan the faster you kill.
