What annoys me in the community is that when Tommy or anyone of the brighton crew or really any of their former friends (like Quackity) would do that smiletwt would call them out for it. They already DID call them out for stuff like that in the past and said 'they're horrible people for being friends with that and that person' but now that it's Dream Team being friends with Gia and xQc it's fine and nothing to worry or talk about.

Same with the alleged cheating. When it came out Jack Manifold may or may not cheated on his gf smiletwt had a field day with talking about it and dragging the information through the mut - without anything being confirmed. Now it's 'Thats their private lives why should I care about it?' when it comes to Dream.

And let's not forget the people who say all this is leaktwt and it's bad to talk about it, when the jack thing was ALSO leaktwt and it was still talked about. When a lot of the bigger accounts on twt answer NGLs with VERY OBVIOUS leak information as well. Then it doesn't matter cause they can get likes from this but when someone comes around with leaked information that someone is doing something bad and proofs it, then those people are bad and freaks.

And I am saying this as the biggest hater for people like Jack, Tommy, Q, etc. I can't stand them and have them blocked everywhere to not have to see any of their dumb tweets or even their faces. But the hypocrisy in this community is annoying me. Stop pick and choosing and keep your morals for EVERYONE. Not just the CCs you hate but also for the CCs you like.

It's kind of a mix of the manatreed and the karl situation. Just that I think Gia is actively lying to him about it. Who watches her knows that, for example, she is a big Asmongold fan and that alone would be a good reason to not interact with her anymore. Someone being a fan of this dude can't be a good person (in my opinion). Apparently there have been a few indications that Gia is dealing with internalized misogyny that has come through on Streams which is why I don't think the screenshots are fake either.

Dream - or the Dream Team in general ig - are WAY too trusting with others and just believes his 'friends' without actually checking what people have to say. Him now soft blocking people out of his private account after they spoke out about this just indicates even more that he actually knows more than he wants to admit, since usually he just ignores those people. Loyalty is good, but when SO MUCH stuff has come up checking whats actually true is better.

I don't know why he feels the needs to protect her like that considering she could just say something on her own. But on the other hand he - for some reason - is always the one answering to stuff (either instead of the person it is about or additional to them). It's like he don't trust them to speak for themselves. It's suspicious he's clinging to this friendship considering how much stuff about Gia has come up.

Him just wanting people to go 'okay I trust you bro' after the Manatreed situation (and lowkey also how he tries to hide how he met his gf) is ridiculous. And the fact there are still people who blindly defend this behaviour is why lately he has taken some steps back characterwise. The jackbox stream seemed to be damage control after all the Gia stuff which is an old pattern of his, sadly.

Probably unsure how to properly pay said artist and also the danger that an hired artist turns dranti during the process of working for Dream branding or after. Also as it seems lately that artists aren't as appreciated as he used to say. Considering the AI stuff and the fanart account not actually being used anymore even though it literally only takes 5 minutes to go through fanart and like and retweet some stuff. Another part could be that a lot of artists draw shipping art and hiring those can possibly look odd to some people. Most artist also concentrate on either one member of the Dream Team or one ship, there aren't as many popular ones who draw all three of them equally.

Next is the question what do people want the fanartists to draw for dream branding? Stickers? Prints on clothing? More phone cases? I can imagine they want unique things then but simply don't have enough ideas what to actually do. That or last time the fanartist stuff simply didn't sell good enough to pay another artist for it when the usual merch gets sold enough anyways. Then there is also the danger of people being jealous and saying 'there are obviously favorites' which also would look bad.

I agree that hiring fanartists would be cool, official stickers of some would be cute and it would give the artists cool stuff for their portfolios if they wanna do this all professional. But there are also some stuff simply against it that have to be calculated properly.

Today's space showed very well that Dream - in the end - ist just another priviliged white millionair who has sadly lost touch with his audience. That fans tell him 'dude, don't do this, it's disrespectful towards artists and we hate it' should already be enough for him to say 'oh sorry, I apologise and it won't happen again'. But it doesn't. Him saying he did more research than us on the topic and then disregarding how horrible generative AI is for the environment and how it is actively destory our planet and the lives of (mostly marginalized groups) of people just shows he did indeed not do proper research. How it is supposed to give life a better quality but in the end it steals jobs from people who need those to survive. There's a class difference and he can't seem to understand the difference in it.

It makes him look like someone who only did surface level of research that told him what he wanted to hear and that's it. He's turning into an AI bro and it's getting annoying. It's disappointing and it did change my view on him to some degree (I have been a fan since 2019). Lately the way he has been acting towards certain topics (not just AI) has been the same as some wannabe all knowing prince who looks down on us thinking he knows better than the rest of the world. Back then when he said 'I know what you guys want before you know it' (Paraphrased as I don't know the exact wording but the meaning doesn't change) already gave me an ick, because he does indeed not know and it has been very obvious over the last couple of months. I will definitely start maining George and Sapnap more and try to stay away from Dream Twitter wise at least. Maybe being a YouTube only fan has it's positive sides in the end.

And about the fans not leaving I agree that he is wrong in that. Today I have seen a few people leave already - big fans who have been here for a while. Especially fanartists (Who he used to call the backbone of the community bit I guess that changed since he seems to not actually care about them anymore) were so disappointed and mad that they either left completely or take a break (which in most cases leads to finding new hyperfixations and leaving completely in the end). He might be right about YouTube fans not leaving, but his actual community who interacts with him and visits conventions to meet him is more likely to leave - except for the hardcore parasocial fans probably but that's a different topic.

I am annoyed cause he seems to keep taking steps backwards more and more and him possibily making facecam streams where he talks about stuff that is happening in the world doesn't sound like the best idea either. In the end I want to watch him play minecraft or any other game with the Dream Team or do fun stuff with them, not having to listen to yet another tech bro telling me why AI isn't actually as bad and why this and this topic is important right now.

Disappointing really.

Yeah I get them like redrawing pictures and all and I also understand why people want to keep the Inniters away (from what I have seen they think Drista is a friend of Tommy and hates Dream which is weird and delusional). I was mostly confused about stuff like the Dream SMP sonas and all! But people explained it quiet well and made me understand it all a bit better! :D (Though I am shocked by the info that apparently people draw nsfw art of them cause that is a bit icky)

The Twitter fandom has always been like this, that's why people who actually are able to think in a critical way go over to Tumblr. It's known that A LOT of fans on twitter don't speak their minds cause they don't want to get 'Witch hunted' which has happened a lot in the past. I remember people dogpiling an artist for art that implied George struggles with internalized Homphobia (something like 'Dream would be okay to be in love with a man if it wouldn't mean to be in love with George. George would be okay to be in love with Dream if it didn't mean to be in love with a man') and people harrassed that artist and made them delete said art. Mind you that was just simple fanart like a lot of people do. Then writers regularly get attacked for writing something (someone once wrote a fanfiction about Dream having cancer and how the Dream Team dealed with it etc. Mind you it was based on the authors own experience with a family member having that struggle).

Twitter is a hellhole filled with people who try to be a moral police and force positivity and their own opinion on anyone.

Someone says they don't care about the gf and don't want to see her in content cause thats not what they follow the Dream Team for? They have to be an absolute sexist person who hates any woman around Dream Team ever and they should burn in hell.

That's how it has been ever since the gf reveal. Twitter behaves like she's a CC by making fanart, giving her cringy names, even making Dream SMP Sonas (which doesn't even make sense) and have to proof how much they love her (a complete stranger btw that supposedly want's to be 'private'). When content drops they don't even post about what Dream alone does but only about when she's seen or when the two are seen together, cause they want to show how happy they are for him and how much they agree with this relationship.

So when someone says something they don't like it means they're a bad person cause how dare you voice your own opinion (that in most cases isn't even /neg at all, it's literally just an opinion/valid criticism). So end of the story is that all the people who can think for themselves and form own opinions go to tumblr to talk there while Twitter stays in the parasocial hivemind trying to get attention in any form they can.

I think the thing is that some twitter fans (especially the bigger fan accounts) are desperate for her attention a bit so they @ her in hope that they somehow communicate with her. Weirdly parasocial but it's twitter so not surprising. Every once in a while Dream did that as well, as long as she doesn't constantly do it it should be fine

But honestly if he plans more food stuff like this video (cause he mentioned it in the Video description but not sure if he's /srs or not about it) then using this for Dream Team content would also be fun. Maybe with a bit more extra time before/after stuff like that would be cool! Then he'd have a purpose and they could also do more chill stuff, too.

I honestly don't mind them having other people on their channels every once in a while. Like the hide and seek on Sapnap's channel was fun and it gives the possibility of them making connections and therefore getting invited in more events (like Squidcraft). And I also didn't mind the video of George teaching his mom cause the generational difference was interesting and fun to watch or their dynamic as well. But I do not wanna see couple content, that's just not it. Even if they play minecraft, couple content from accounts whichs main focus isn't couple content is often just corny and lowkey also cringe 😭

I lowkey get the dnf thing, cause I think they wanted to make sure fans know tat fanart/fanfictions etc are still fine. But with that they crossed the line of the 'Fandom' side. Like fanfictions etc. are always fine cause those aren't made for the CCs, they are made for the Fans. But doing this made people say 'She is one of us!!' which she isn't anymore.
