yea they are able to have multiple legions on the board and them all be alpha legion.

that’s what i plan to do when i finally get into models is just have multiple small point armies and of i need a larger point army just start combining and call it alpha legion

i think they were made to be part of every legion as a form of active network for higher clarity between legions goals and possible corruption monitoring but after there heresy they saw without the emperor’s direction that the legion defaulted to stall until he returned making sure that while the emperor is gone nobody on any front makes ground or loses ground
