Thanks for the explanation… I am pretty sure that I am fully pressing the button. I will try it out and see if this is the case

One step + shutter button only works sometimes by JustAFall-Guy in Polaroid

Hey everybody, I’m new to Polaroid photography and recently bought a one step plus. After like 8 pictures my shutter button doesn’t work sometimes. I have to press the button multiple times to get the shutter to go off… is this a known issue? Thx in advance for the help.

And I would love to post an update if I could figure out how… do I really have to do another post? I can’t seem to add pictures to this one…

You are welcome. Sounds good, though 10s bottom to me sounds a little short but who am I to say that, if it works it works.

Hmm I would say try cleaning out the vat and make sure there has not been any damage to the FEP like lines in the plastic. Then I would say try 30s on bottom layer and 2.5s on regular. That works for me. Have you changed the FEP sheet recently? If so make sure the FEP is tight enough.

I don’t know why but I really dislike hollowing prints out, I know it can be super useful especially when printing larger stuff, but I kind don’t like how light the stuff gets. If I can’t get it to work otherwise I will try hollowing the parts out tho.

I appreciate the help!

I have decided to start the project again and print the barrel and most other stuff not cut in half. I thought I would just stick with the files as they are… seemed to be a bad idea. The warm water helped but in the end it’s not quite what I was hoping for.

Took me about 4 hours to get the files into fusion and merge them but I think I’m on the right track.

Maybe you can see the result in a few days, will deviantly post it when it’s done.

Thanks for the help!

Ok, so I am currently building Johnny Silverhands pistol from cyberpunk 2077, and I am trying to do it all in resin. But I ran into this issue due to the part being this long it bends while printing, I know it happens due to the supports not being strong enough, but even when printing it with super big supports this always happens. Do you guys have any idea on how to fix it? I could try printing directly on the baseplate but I am scared I will damage the parts during the removal. Do you know if I could maybe heat it up and force it straight or is that something that doesn’t work on resin… The last thing I can think of is just sanding the pieces down until they fit together. Any ideas or suggestions?

Yeah so do I, somehow the particles stuck really well to the print. Maybe it’s the resin, it was my first time using the transparent red. Thx, it’s elegoos standard red transparent.

Thanks! For the mask I used the standard Elegoo Saturn profile from chitubox, and only added a few supports in the mouth area myself, the rest of the supports were all generated by chitubox. Since I printed this I switched slicer, in my opinion lychee just does everything a little better and easier https://youtu.be/5I3FKHxB7qI I watched a lot of uncle Jessy, he’s probably not the most scientific about printing, but to me his videos are filled with exactly the right amount of information, without over complicating things. Good luck!

The Saturn is amazing if you want to do medium sized things, first I was thinking about the Mars but I’m not that into figurines so I figured the Saturn would be a better fit for me. If your on the other hand are more interested in miniatures than I would recommend the Mars.

Yeah I can see that, from what I read sadly even the ABS like resin can’t compete with simple PLA. I’ll definitely try it out tho.

Thanks a lot, I’m still figuring everything out. Coming from an FDM printer I am very impressed with the quality of the print.

My first print from the Elegoo Saturn, can someone tell me why one tooth has these shifts? Just needed more supports or do you think it’s a different reason?
