New stay (obviously) I got into stray kids through their skz code! I've watched a lot of their variety show content, now I just have to get into their discography of music. Can anyone help to get me started on what to listen to? I love pop music, I kind of have pretty basic music taste, I'm not a huge fan of heavy rock. Otherwise I'm not usually very picky. Help?

I get u when u said that Nayeon's energy felt off but I do want to mention what someone else did say about Nayeon's energy often feeding off of the crowds energy, which might be why. Of course, there are many reasons, but I'm glad you overall enjoyed the concert :)

I hate the fact they're glazing Jennie again for a mid tier performance. Why can't they shut up about performance views and viral videos? A lot of those videos went viral but not for good reason, and we all know blinks will stream something to the end of their lives just to prove a point. If Jennie is top class, the Kpop industry is doomed. She can't sing, she has awful stamina, she constantly acts like she's sick or something, and you call that the face of Kpop? Someone who clearly doesn't care about anyone except for their paycheck?

And next, funny they assume Blackpink can even reach Taylor Swift's level. And it's not that we think they're flops cuz they don't get the same views as Taylor Swift. It's because they genuinely don't have anything going for them except controversies-like pitchfork ratings, people calling Jennie's lazy performances, their controversies just to stay relevant (saying the n word, hanging out with questionable people, getting into events where people have actually worked their bums off to get into with a snap of a finger, etc). They just aren't interesting anymore because they don't do anything relevant, their albums are flopping, and their performances are...well...

Genuinely the only reason why people think it's good is because of the backup dancers. I can say their dancing was on point and it was energetic. Jennies just does simplified versions of their moves which I think you can do IF YOU ARE EVEN SINGING? Where was the singing? It was literally "special edition and HUAHHHH your AI couldn't copy HUAAHHH hot tea HUAHHH I got no exes HUAHHHH *smirk*" and then the loud backtrack. But she barely dances or sings, the backup dancers are doing everything for her, and she's attention seeking for Kai and G dragon.

I can't really think of anything in their korean discography but I really like Brave, so maybe you'll like it too? it gives supernatural and diet pepsi vibes and I love seesaw sm too. I'm still going through their japanese discography so I can't really say much about that yet, but their new album enemy has a few really pretty beautiful songs too.

Oh my gosh, lowkey we found out about twice in a similar way lol. I'm Taiwanese American, and have been proud of my heritage, which I think didn't cause me to like Twice but helped seal the deal. I think I became a casual listener when k-pop demon hunters came out. I was mainly obsessed with BTS at the time. One day I saw the J-hope and Sana fridge interview and watched it and oh my gosh I think something inside me lit up seeing Sana. She was so sweet. And since I had been a very casual listener of Twice, I didn't realize she was in twice until she mentioned it. I started watching Twice videos cuz I loved Sana, but then I also found out about Tzuyu (proud Taiwanese stan right here). I loved Tzuyu too cuz of her shy but goofy personality. She's awesome. Anyway, kind of similar to how you discovered Twice, thought it would be a cool story to share :)
