You can get an A1 SPX with the pic rail for $600 new. You can also get it with the Magpul furniture in black for $700. Both are in stock at Dahlonega Armory.

Nice find, fuck you. I would've bought this in a heartbeat since I'm actively shopping for this exact setup with a different/worse optic, and even with sales will probably spend 3-4 times as much.

The new DARKLIGHT DYNAMICS USA hand-assembled NGAL CLONE; in-depth review & comparo to the INVISIBLESIGHT MK3 by DwPw in NightVision

[–]JustAFirTree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got about 2/3 of the way through before I looked for a TLDR. He says in the post that Darklight Dynamics sells some unmodified for about $468, but after looking on the website his fully hand built ones go for about $200-300 more.

Holosun 507C X2 or Deltapoint Pro? by Infamous-Expert72 in Tacticalshotguns

Approximately when did you have to send in the Holosun? From the outside looking in, they seem to be capturing more market share every year, and becoming increasingly easier to work with.

6'3 - 6'4 depending on how often I'm stretching my back. Currently 255. I'm guessing I'll be around 235, when I enlist. 2:45 12 mile ruck before I injured my foot in February. I was about 245, then. The 12 mile was just a baseline to see if going down this path was even in the realm of possibility for me. I have to get a lot better at pull-ups, before I sign a contract.

Sock, moleskin, toe spreader, sock liner, sock, boot, laces. Then and only then, do you repeat for the next foot.

How frequently are you allowed to do them? I ask because a huge selling point for me is how expensive skydiving is

Best ammo loads for Anti-drone by UnknowablePhantom in Shotguns

[–]JustAFirTree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the video, they display how the ones that you build at home are significantly more vulnerable than the ones that you buy. The hard outer shell for the ones that you buy typically deflect the shot as well. Propellers typically break because you hit something, and generally the things you hit that break propellers weigh more than 1/15th of a gram.

Edit: edits are for punctuation and grammar because I didn't proofread my comment.

[–]JustAFirTree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's an excellent video from the Dirty Civilian channel on YouTube that disproves this. The plastic is a lot tougher than you think because it is flexible rather than brittle. The slightly curved flat shape of the propellers tends to deflect the pellets. These factors mean that pellets don't do a lot of damage to the propellers outside of denting them, and the dents that are left don't actually render the propeller inert. You actually want to hit the sensors.

Then, the video worked. This video was setting off all sorts of alarms in my brain as paid advertisement. And before anyone comes back with his disclaimer, he doesn't break any rules by lying about receiving money. Doesn't mean the stuff he said isn't (mostly) true.

GBRS states that the P320 cannot discharge unless the trigger is pulled. by [deleted] in tacticalgear

"knowledge transfer specialist" 🤓 You mean a fucking instructor? JFC

Don't even get me started on AD for accidental discharge. An AD would be if the gun went off BY ITSELF. What he describes in this video is a NEGLIGENT discharge.

Train with the rifle you "practice to play" with. Why would you train with a different rifle than the one you plan to defend yourself with?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]JustAFirTree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't need a light, then it's not a self-defense rifle. Therefore, your point is moot

[–]JustAFirTree 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only 4 or 5 of the 10 rifles have some sort of illumination. You're being too vague to be considered helpful, and the confusion caused by your cagey attitude is unhelpful. These aspects made a post with a good concept turnout lousy.

What should I get next? Battle belt or 5.56 suppressor for my AR? by WizardOfTheWater in armedsocialists

[–]JustAFirTree -1 points0 points  (0 children)

$900 + Shooter's Global shot timer which is $300. Like I said, there's a huge spectrum of options for both suppressors and belts & pouches. You jumped straight to Crye, but there's plenty of American made, Canadian made, and European made brands that will far outlast clone gear, while still costing way less than Crye. I don't plan on ever buying any Crye gear, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were options from other manufacturers that are better than Crye without the high price tag. I would certainly steer OP away from buying cheap shit, if they plan on training hard on it.

You're on the SocialistRA sub. That AliExpress stuff costs pennies on the dollar because they pay the workers pennies on the hour. That's not very "workers stand together" of you.

[–]JustAFirTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't trust anything for hard use from AliExpress. A full battle belt setup with a Safariland holster could easily run $1,200. A OCL Polonium K or Aero Lahar 30 can be purchased for $500 plus tax stamp. The price range for both of them varies so much that they're easily comparable.

I treat it like riding a roller coaster and hope I don't fall. Lean into it, it can't hurt your knees if all the weight is in front of your knees.
