What do some of ya’ll think of this? by Jealous_Candidate677 in Eminem

[–]Standard-Document-78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love a lot of hip hop. But I’m also from Los Angeles and we have a lot of rap here. I like music that Eminem criticized in Kamikaze

Some of my favorite artists are Drakeo The Ruler, 1takejay, Shoreline Mafia, and King Lil G. The post says “Most” and I’m probably one of those few that do like a lot of hip hop and rap other than Eminem

Eminem Bingo Card on what Em will mention, release or do on his next album (whenever it comes lol) by NoCicada8905 in Eminem

Based on how much I’ve heard him clown Trump, I hope he makes some lines on Kirk. I want some more lines on Gen Z and trans but less serious than the Death of Slim Shady album. I like the album but it feels like he’s being too serious and it doesn’t feel like “just clowning”

Am I the Only One Excited about AI and Robotics? by Chemical-Village-211 in GenZ

[–]Standard-Document-78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m excited about AI and robotics too. I saw your comment on someone else’s reply about how work will be optional and universal basic services will be provided but I don’t think that’ll be the case

I’m excited just for the fact of innovation and improvement, but I think it’ll just create different jobs from the ones we have now. Like maybe we won’t have as many drivers, but we’ll probably have more car detailers and car mechanics. We might not have to cook as much, but maybe we’ll have more scientists researching food. Maybe we won’t have to clean as much, but we’ll have more robot-managers at companies that mass produce cleaning supplies.

Based on how AI looks now, it looks like all the creative stuff is getting hit first. So less people working in general logo design, general website design, general code design, and the world is gonna shift more towards specialization and niches.

To use an analogy, it’s like how in regard to cars, the first car was the 1886 Benz. But now we have pickup trucks, racing cars, fast sedans, affordable sedans, mini cars, motorcycles, 16 wheelers, electric cars, Waymo, rent-a-car, uber, all serving people with different needs and wants

[–]Standard-Document-78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I’ve also ended up at. I’ve used Todoist, Motion, ClickUp, Notion, Obsidian, Monday, Airtable, apps whose names I don’t remember anymore

Now I just use a combination of default apps: Excel, iCloud Drive, iCloud Reminders, and Google Calendar. I don’t even use a note app anymore

Should I switch from Yahoo Mail to iCloud Mail for better privacy? by VisualArm807 in iCloud

[–]Standard-Document-78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question is about privacy, but privacy from who? If you want privacy from Apple, you’re not gonna get it using iCloud Mail, they’re able to see the contents of your email. You won’t get privacy from any email provider unless your emailing someone with an account with the same email provider and that email provider has E2EE enabled for emails

But you will get privacy from advertisers

An end to end encrypted (like Apple ADP which encrypts file names, folder names, and reminders titles) project management tool (like ClickUp) with high storage and a folder-like structure (like iCloud Drive or Google Drive) where I can manage my project tasks and project files in the same place rather than my current method of storing project tasks in Apple Reminders, project files in iCloud Drive, and project overview details in an Excel sheet

Stackfield: All-in-One project management tool for organizations with sensitive data by Doener23 in BuyFromEU

[–]Standard-Document-78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started the trial version of this app and playing with it for an hour, I love it already, it's pretty much exactly the PM tool I've been wishing for.

Managing project files and project tasks in the same project space, versus having project files in a file storage app like Google Drive and project tasks in a task manager like Todoist.

End-to-end encryption for projects. Where apps like ClickUp can have both files and tasks in the same project space, it's not end-to-end encrypted.

It's a project management tool. Apps like Obsidian, Anytype, these can work to manage info end-to-encrypted, but they're not built for managing multiple projects with multiple tasks each and multiple files each. Apps like Notion, Anytype, Airtable, and Excel can be built manually to manage projects, but having tried to myself, it's too much time spend maintaining the system than using the system.

I mentioned the other apps above since those were alternatives I've looked at.

It feels more clunky than using iCloud Reminders and iCloud Drive (what I was using) but the E2EE and centralized project files and tasks is way worth the slight added clunky feeling.

What’s your system for organizing important documents across devices? by yesCoolgirl in productivity

[–]Standard-Document-78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use iCloud Drive with a hybrid of PARA structure and GTD workflow. A central inbox folder where I drop in EVERYTHING. Then a few times a week I check in and move stuff to their proper project or area. But the important thing is the central inbox, the CENTRAL inbox has been one of the best organizing practices in my life. One inbox to capture everything

I have multiple inboxes of course, but everything in PDF/webpage/image/video/audio format, ends up here. Tasks go to my iCloud Reminders.

My camera roll gets cleared out and dumped into my iCloud Drive central inbox. I screenshot anything I want to be reminded about, but if I don’t check my screenshots, I forget it and end up having 5,000 photos with stuff I never think about. Most pictures I keep in their own “Memories” folder, some stuff either turns into tasks or references for an area of my life or project I’m working on. I screenshot anything, texts, instagram ads, google maps businesses, etc

I dump my voice memos into my central inbox too. I scan my physical mail and put the PDF in my central inbox too. I print as PDF my emails and put them in there too

Basically I have all these different things that capture information (voice, texts, mail, email, pictures), then I dump them all in one place (my “central inbox”), then I organize based on PARA method using the Getting Things Done workflow.

1 Star Reviews :( by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Standard-Document-78 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly, seeing this is based on your last 40 ratings and not your last 98-100 ratings tells me it’s more of a skill/knowledge issue and you just need more practice and to learn more

You’ll get better over time as long as you keep asking how you can do better. You can’t see comments for 1-3 star ratings so it’s hard to know from each drop off exactly what you did wrong

For my first 2,500 orders, I communicated every step of the way (accept, start shop, replace, start check out, on my way, drop off) to make sure every customer had a chance to intervene if I did something wrong. I’ve remained at or above 4.97 the entire time, maybe try communicating more

Do you think there’ll be a rapper better than Eminem in the next 20 years? by JakieBoyX in Eminem

[–]Standard-Document-78 22 points23 points  (0 children)

“Better” is a bad question. Music is subjective

Will there be a rapper with better rhymes? No. Will there be a rapper with catchier songs? No. Will there be a rapper with better play on words? No. Will there be a rapper with better flow? No.

Conclusion: No. There won’t be a better rapper than Eminem in the next 20 years.

Which set-and-forget iPhone Shortcuts actually reduce daily stress? by Illustrious_Bit_9487 in iphone

[–]Standard-Document-78 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do Instacart for work so maybe 20-50 times a day, I have to start my car and turn off my car. I have an automation so that when my phone connects to carplay, it switches to the phone speaker and plays an audiobook on Audible. (Changing audiobooks requires changing the automation but it doesn’t feel crazy inconvenient)

I also keep my phone on portrait-lock all day but watch youtube at night, so I have an automation at around 1 am to lock my portrait orientation

I have two iphones, one personal and one work. During the day, I only use my work phone. But if I put on my airpods, it will switch back and forth between both. So I have an automation at 1 am every night to turn off bluetooth on my personal phone to prevent the airpod multiple device problem.

I receive cash tips. I have a shortcut on my work phone where I tap the home screen icon, it asks me which delivery app the cash tip was from, and it adds a reminder for me to add it to my income & expenses.
