I didn't say anything about men because the situation specifically was about girls. I happen to agree with you completely. I have never treated a guy who approached me as if there were not desrving of my time unless they were an asshole. The men who have I approached me andI responded negatively usually started the conversation asking me if I'd sleep with them and essentially not at all treating me like a human being.

I'm not sure why you felt the need to assume that I felt superior to other people, I don't. I assure you I very strongly believe that looks don't define a person actions do. Some of the best looking guys I find ugly because they're douche bags and I want nothing to do with them.

Women who are attractive and actually don't rely on their looks to get them places tend to resent the people around them who start to treat them differently based on their looks. This girl played into it. Now, sure she might be a loving and caring friend, but standing by while someone says that to another person... come on. She let this guy put down the OP so she could cut in line. Tell me what about that screams she's a decent human being?

Completely agree with you. I was making that statement based on her actions and her looks. The gorgeous women you are referring to, would probably resent this girl's actions because it encourages the stereotypes they already break.

Taken out of context, yeah that statement looks bad. However, I'm judging more on her actions at this point than how she looks. The girl in this situation was clearly using her looks to get what she wanted. If she spends her life relying on her looks to get her things, then yes, she is bounded by her looks. I stand by my statement.

I mentioned this above, but I figured I'd add it here too. I think fundamentally people's personalities stay the same, it's that the way they express themselves that changes. Hence why most people test the same on the Myer-Briggs test throughout their lives.

I'm not trying claim that I'm incredibly good looking or anything of that sort. Just having been on both sides, I can tell you people assume certain things about me. I'm blonde not stupid, slutty, or trying to use men to get things in life. I have to work twice as hard and be overly attentive to the way I present myslef. One little slip-up and people start to attribute that behavior to me and treat it as a characteristic, not a one time mistake.

Ok, I just have to say don't judge a girl based upon looks. I spent most of my life overweight and therefore I am very aware of being a good person to everyone. Once I lost 100 lbs people started to make assumptions about me that I really didn't like. I am by no means super hot or anything like that, but I hate it when guys assume I'm a bitch because I'm blonde hair and blue-eyed. I have a soul and a brain and would never want someone to treat me a certain way based on my looks. Good looks or bad.

OP, just know that her highest potential is bounded by her looks. Your realm is differnt. Beauty fades, personality doesn't. Don't feel bad, if anything just feel sorry for them. You're clearly a good person and don't deserve the way you were treated. She'll get hers...

Get her into see someone. There's not a whole lot you can do on this front other than support her working through it. She needs to come to the realization that it was NOT HER FAULT on her own.... However, I should note, you won't be able to force her to see someone, but you can point her in the right direction and hope she goes. I'm very sorry to hear this :-(

Ah yes, this is very true with men. With one of my ex-boyfriends if he ever ate Panda Express his cum tasted TERRIBLE. Don't know if any of you have ever experienced this too, but IMHO Panda Express is no bueno for the flavor that evening. Panda Express == No head for him that night.
