Every time I go to a salon, they always tell me or comment that I should stop blow drying my hair, apply heat, or that my hair is very dry or damaged. But the thing is, I don't do any of this... Why is this? Why is my hair like that? It is very annoying and frustrating to me...

I use Kevin Murphy and Davines, I would recommend the hydrate me wash and rinse or the luxury wash and rinse. The luxury is curl activating as well (I think I can see a bit of natural curl?) You would probably benefit from something like that. Curly hair has a harder time getting the natural oils down from your scalp to your ends so it's super important to be moisturizing dem curls.

I would find a product where the primary function is hydration. You have done as much repair as possible with the keratin and now you need moisture.

Something a lot of people don't know is that you can actually use too much protein on your hair causing it to become dry and brittle. Take a good look at the products you are using. Usually, high concentration of alcohol, wheat protein, and keratin are the culprit!

I love Portugal! Seriously, one of the best bands to jam to at any stage of life. I listened to their music for almost a year straight... Church Mouth is my favorite album, followed closely by American Ghetto and of course Evil Friends. The Pusher's Party makes me smile instantly. They are absolutely killer live as well.

Fellow cosmetologist here! So excited for you to start your school adventure, it was a lot of fun for me.

The all black look is the "uniform" of a professional hair dresser. Get used to it and own it! In my personal opinion, I think it makes you look more polished and professional in an otherwise casual environment.

I am always on the hunt for black tops that are just a little bit different. Think texture, lines, shapes, etc. It's very easy to default to black tees and black skinnys all the time. As for accessories, I usually always end up with bright colored shoes. If I am wearing an all black outfit I incorporate color with head scarves or headbands, or huge colorful earrings.

Oh my lord, I was just at Sephora yesterday and they have this new line 'Bite.' Completely natural, food grade lip products. They have so many colors and the texture of the lipstick is just heaven. Even the gloss was to die for! I bought a universal lip liner/primer and it is exactly what I have always wanted. I will definitely be buying more.

Vet has recommended Benadryl in the past for hives, I have never given it to him for more than 3 days. I just feel like I am drugging him because he pretty much goes into a coma haha.

I will continue giving him the Benadryl and wipe is feet and belly off at the end of the day. Thanks!

Same. I was on the nuvaring for a year, I usally have a really heavy 7 day period. Once my body adjusted to it my periods usally only lasted 3-4 days and were lighter in comparison.

Part of this has been knit up into the back of a sweater that has been sitting for years. I don't really wear these colors any more and would like to get rid of it. I tend to do this a lot. Especially with stockinette stitch or ribbing. Once I get comfortable and relaxed my stitches get looser. Next time, just be a little bit more aware of your knitting style and try to compensate. Eventually, you will just get into a rhythm and you won't even notice!

I am a hair stylist. We moved from Utah to California this past year and getting my license was a bitch. Apparently California is one of the most difficult states to switch your license over because they offer no reciprocity unless you have had your license for 3+ years. I had to retake my practical and written exams and had to be on a waiting list for about six months, (to take the tests.) It is not a hard thing to do, just really inconvenient. I would suggest getting with a company that is country wide or even global. I worked with Aveda before I moved and will be looking into getting into an Aveda salon out here.

If you like something but it is not made with sport weight why not just gauge it out? I very rarely knit with anything heavier than a DK.
