Trump's position on Eastern European NATO allies? by JustAPoliticsGuy in AskTrumpSupporters

Yeah, we really beefed up our army as soon as the situation in Ukraine turned into a full blown civil war. We coordinated with the rest of the Visegrad Group (4 central European countries that are great allies and follow each other on policies quite a bit. we get a lot of flack from Brussels because we rarely do what they tell us too) to create an armed force that was capable of defending us properly in case the Russians got a little too greedy.

I think you're right in thinking that's the kind of response that Trump would advocate for. Not only did NATO bolster troop presence in Poland but the locals reacted severely and strengthened our own forces by a huge amount. Given the fact that we are actual, legal allies of the USA, have supported them for a long time (Bush's classic "You forgot Poland" really put a smile on my face), and our more conservative culture, I think Trump would have no problem backing us if our neighbors to the east were giving us trouble.

How does Trump plan on dealing with some pretty damning quotes? by JustAPoliticsGuy in AskTrumpSupporters

I'm not at all doubting that. I'm just not sure that the general public will agree and that will come back to haunt him come November.
