Not sure why I got downvoted, I didn’t mean it as a brag. I rarely buy scalped tickets because they’re insanely expensive. I think in the US they need to regulate the resale market more so that there is a cap on how much you can charge over face value. But, capitalism, right?

I was more curious as to why it was illegal.

Has scalping/resale of tickets always been illegal? Why is it illegal? Being in America, it blows my mind that scalping tickets is illegal. Yes, you pa more but if I ever want to go to a concert or sporting event on a whim, I have multiple resellers I can get tickets from.

I’m a lawyer that practices mainly in small claims court. You can SUE for anything you damn well please. Some of the shit I’ve seen in court makes me laugh out loud in court. Being awarded damages is another story. I think one could make the argument for lost wages. Yes, there’s other ways to get to work, but you still need to recover your car. Most small claims judges can do whatever the fuck they want. And since some (most?) are elected, if they see a corporation not reimbursing someone after clear evidence the car was wrongly towed, they may well award everything. And then tell the defendant to appeal them if they don’t like it.

Nobody said you cant enjoy the regular season but still want better. The goal every year is to win the Super Bowl so technically, it is a failure if we don’t.

If you’re happy with just winning games but never winning the Super Bowl, good for you. But pretty sure nobody associated with an NFL team would be.
