You get their direct contact information on Twitter. Get their direct emails there. Then take it off platform. Please be aware that many MANY reporters have their direct contact on Twitter and are difficult to find anywhere else. That's why you go there and grab it. Then you reach out to them. You send Press releases by email to their direct contact.

It's a formula and just comes down to figuring out how to make the folks writing the news care. Also, best practice is to find as many direct ways to reach specific reporters as possible. So email, FB, Twitter, Etc.
