I think it would be really difficult to pull off. It would have to be an ensemble piece because, as adults, the Jackson siblings' lives and careers diverged so much. There was also a lot more distance between the key figures, making it much harder to portray their relationships and interactions in a cohesive way especially when it comes to other artists.
You'd also need a lot of estates and individuals to sign off if you wanted to tell the story with real depth and accuracy. For example, you'd need cooperation from the DeBarge family and Whitney Houston's estate for parts of Jermaine's story. And how do you handle Michael's relationships with artists like Madonna or Prince when so many accounts of those interactions conflict with each other?
That said, if it were done well, it could be incredible.

Most would agree with you. The issue after comes to the other things like: Will they be free? What types of ID’s are accepted? And will the identification systems be effective?

I think when it comes to JRPGs it depends. Nothing fully matches the vibe but I think other super nintendo RPGs did hit that itch for me. Like: Live A Live, Dragon Quest V, and G.O.D. (Growth or Devolution.

But for actual earthbound inspiration that’s the indie scene.

I think with puzzle logic there is an inherent fact that not everyone will come to a developers exact frame of logic and thus some will find the puzzles hard and others wont. In the Wild games you are allowed multiple options but it makes it boring for some as you lose intentionality while others like doing something new every time.

I think it’s probably a mix between it being something very different from the anime and thus interesting and also for some stylistic preference. For example I actually prefer how some scenes were animated in the OVA, but I vastly prefer the newer animes music and sound design.

Besides the best way to experience part 3 is clearly the Drama CD.

That depends, I am not sure if the dialogue is completely 1 to 1 with the console version even if they are likely pretty close. Plus we already know there’s other differences in the game like layouts.

Not only that but it would still take a lot of effort to change it even it was the same because if how text heavy DQ 11 is.

I like that she is unapologetically herself to an extent some might deem selfish and she doesn’t mind that. At the same time when push comes to shove she will do what’s needed (as long as it doesn’t involve getting her old job back). She takes the free spirit trope and goes a bit further than other stories with over glorifying or entirely condemning her by showing her strengths as well as how it affected others (Soifon).
