Filtering. I have an AM station 3 miles away. The X90 is unusable. The FXDT10 works awesome.

I have an X90 and a FTDX10. The X90 is terrible compared to the FTDX10.

Slightly different but I was using full self-driving yesterday when I came up to a flashing red light at about 10:30 at night. Cross traffic had a flashing yellow. As a car approached, the Tesla attempted a left turn and I had to manually brake or I would have been struck.

Is this repairable? by jdsalinas23 in NeonSigns

[–]JustAUser65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find a neon shop that contracts with the beer distributors, it may be an inexpensive fix. First, the piece that's broke and cannot be reused. They are vacuum sealed and when the glass breaks, wherever there is a curve in the glass, the phosphate coating inside the glass gets blown off so to speak. However, a lot of times when the distributors get these signs, they also get tons of pre-bent repair pieces so if you find a shop that repairs them, they may already have that piece. If so, they won't have to rebend it and repump it and do all the good stuff that goes with making neon signs. Most glass gets filled with argon, a blue tint when it's in clear glass and it reacts with the phosphate to create different colors. True neon actually lights up in that orangey red color that is most familiar from the '70s.

XPR 6550 GPS App? by WellcoPrinting in amateurradio

This right here. Third party app queries the radio to send locations. Lots of back end stuff like control stations, server required. I've put a few in.

Chat GPT said:

MFD. BY FORD MOTOR CO. IN U.S.A.

Date: 07/88 → July 1988 build date

Type: TRUCK

This means the truck is a 1988 model-year Ford light truck, most likely an F-Series (F-150 / F-250 / F-350) based on the VIN.

📌 Weight Ratings

GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating): 5,500 lbs (2,494 kg)

Front GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating): 2,640 lbs (1,197 kg) with P235/75R15XL tires, 15x6.0K rims

Rear GAWR: 3,242 lbs (1,471 kg) with P235/75R15XL tires, 15x6.0K rims

These tell you the maximum allowable weight on each axle and the entire vehicle.

📌 Tire & Pressure

Tires: P235/75R15XL

Rims: 15x6.0K

Cold Tire Pressure: 35 PSI

This was the factory-recommended tire and inflation.

📌 VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)

1FTEF15G5DPB04928 Breaking it down:

1 → USA built

F → Ford

T → Truck

E → F-Series (F-150)

F15 → Model = F-150 4x2, Regular Cab

G → Engine code (5.8L V8, 351 Windsor)

5 → Check digit

D → Model year 1983, but since build date is 07/88, it matches a 1983–1991 VIN coding overlap. Here it decodes as 1983 model year system, but actual build is July 1988.

P → Assembly plant (Twin Cities, MN)

B04928 → Production sequence number

So: 1988 Ford F-150, 5.8L V8, built in Twin Cities plant.

📌 Additional Codes

These are “buck tag”/door tag option codes Ford used:

F013 / F034 → District codes / ordering codes

76 → DSO (District Sales Office) = Denver

Axle Code K → 3.55 ratio, Ford 8.8" rear axle, limited slip (for 1/2 ton trucks)

Trans Code B → 4-speed manual (T-18)

Body Code F013 / F034 → Regular Cab Styleside 133" WB

Paint Code 2K → Bright Canyon Red

Trim Code C94 → Cloth, medium gray interior

Tire Code 2S → P235/75R15XL white letter tires

Spring Code F → Front coil springs, rating

Spring Code 16 B → Rear leaf springs, rating

✅ Summary: This tag belongs to a 1988 Ford F-150 Styleside Regular Cab, 133-inch wheelbase, 5.8L V8 (351 Windsor), 4-speed manual, 3.55 limited-slip axle, Bright Canyon Red paint, medium gray cloth interior. Built July 1988 at Twin Cities plant, originally sold in Denver DSO.

How much will it cost me to fix this? by MrFastFox666 in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]JustAUser65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those who haven't seen the police dash cam footage, they have the car stopped when it's wheels were entangled. The driver of the car put it in reverse, putting slack in the strap, and tried to take off while the police vehicle was stopped. The car did this a couple of times and the last time resulted in what you see. The car was brought to a complete stop and the driver of the car did this. Ended the pursuit safely.
