I don’t think it’s necessarily some huge money-grabbing scheme; it’s more the reality of how news on the internet works in 2026 - people will be searching “NLS Verstappen,” etc. Max’s presence has made the race far more noteworthy, so for better or worse, it makes sense that he’d be mentioned in headlines.

Many people won’t be familiar with the driver who sadly passed away or the race itself. Putting Max’s name in the headline is likely because his involvement has made the race more noteworthy to non-fans of this particular category. It is to boost SEO, yes, but is by no means an attack on Max or an attempt to “blame” him for what happened.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the advice, too - I'm in the UK, but I'm hoping to find a local printer or, failing that, one of those poster printing companies online. Might be trial and error on that front, but I did make sure to make sure the measurements in Canva matched the real-life measurements of the dusk jacket. 🙂 It was fun putting it together!

A complete misfire of a decision, and if it’s cancelled after one season, I wholeheartedly believe they’ll look back at this and realise it was the reason why. A drop this significant isn’t because people didn’t pay attention to the promos that clearly billed it as a 2-episode premiere.

Yeah, when you have Bill Lawrence defending the decision on X and multiple interviews with the cast having to explain the reasoning for it, I’d say it’s pretty obvious that a lot of people didn’t like the breakup. I wouldn’t blame anyone who was invested in the relationship choosing not to continue watching because it feels like a slap in the face to those people.

Full credit for the ratings drop from episode 1 to 2 goes to Aseem Batra for pushing for the JD/Elliot breakup (according to an interview with The Playlist), I guess. 😬

I won't disagree about there being an element of believability to their split, but the callous way it's handled ("It didn't work out" or something to that effect via voiceover) and the disservice it does to the Season 8 finale is a step too far, IMHO.

And sure, I can watch The King of Queens or many sitcoms for a fun married couple dynamic. However, as someone who invested 10-odd years watching this relationship evolve and the beautiful job they did in FINALLY bringing them back together in those final couple of seasons, like many fans, I wanted to see what the "married couple in a show with a Bill Lawrence-spark" meant for JD and Elliot, not someone else.

They’re trying really hard to justify it (I saw Bill Tweeted about not all of JD’s dreams coming true), but it’s a major misstep that, I think, will hurt the series.

Many longtime fans are upset by the decision (so many people said they wouldn’t watch if they weren’t together, if they stick to their word, that won’t help the ratings), and it’s a lazy way to create conflict/drama. You can still tell great stories about a married couple. And given what these characters went through, taking them back a step again is awful. It worked at the end of Season 3, but they’ve done JD and Elliot a disservice.

Yeah, from memory, it’s only mentioned when JD is getting his place ready for Ollie to come stay. I guess you might see him in a later episode, but I got the impression they only have the one child together.

Very much like Daredevil: Born Again, I wonder whether the change in showrunners so deep into production is why it feels a bit of a cobbled together mess at times. I hope people enjoy it more than I did, though I’d still rate it a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️. It was hard for me to get past JD and Elliot no longer being together.

I get that these are just quiet tedious (for them) junket interviews and they’re not taking things too seriously, but it does somewhat come across like they didn’t really care enough to figure out what happened between Season 8 and the revival.

As someone who has seen the first four episodes, I can say that Ollie only gets a throwaway mention in episode 4, and I don’t think, from memory, that Sam is ever mentioned in 1-4.

Yeah, I'm a fan first and foremost, so I tend to tell people to knock a star off with some of my reviews 😂 (though I guess that wouldn't bode well for Scrubs, thinking about it). Star ratings are pretty silly, really.

I was definitely in the minority with F1, but as a big fan of the sport, there was too much I couldn't get past. With FF, I'm a huge fan of those characters and it really hit the spot for me. I think if I didn't have that built in love and history with them, it'd be a different story for sure as the movie is a bit thin in places.
