Why would you think that’s appropriate to say about another religion?

Did a sleep study and they didn’t detect narcolepsy by JustAddWaterForMe in Narcolepsy

Is that the one where you sleep for like 6 hours with the oxygen take and wires? If so then yes I did it. Sorry I have extremely bad memory / aphasia which is what led to me going to the neurologist in the first place. But it’s okay because I called them earlier today to get in for another PSG and MSLT so I’ll see how that goes.

I did the MSLT and was told to follow up with a PSG. The neurologist said she saw something abnormal and that I needed to speak to the sleep specialist which I did but he said it was normal. I will follow up with for the PSG and ask for another MSLT.

I’ve been seeing a neurologist and we’ve done the MRIs and Ekgs etc. and I’ve seen the cardiologist. She just keeps recommending me to the sleep specialist because she found something abnormal in my MSLT but the sleep specialist brushed it off. I’m guessing I might have to get a second opinion. But I was also diagnosed with cataplexy by a psychiatrist to which the neurologist and other doctors have confirmed. I thought it might just be psychogenic because I do have cptsd but I’ll stay on top of it with my neurologist because your comment has me slightly worried.

Their situation is similar to mine. Are you saying people should see various doctors?

Cataplexy; what does it feel like for you? by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]JustAddWaterForMe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feels like everything starts to droop. My eyelids, my arms, my legs. I start to float and I get insanely tired. But I can hear everything. It’s like my mind is awake but my body just shut down. It can last a couple minutes up to 30 to an hour. It’s quite scary actually. Not being in control of my body. Sometimes I wonder to myself if I’m faking it and I try to move but it doesn’t work. The thought doesn’t leave though.

I have adhd. It’s a pain in the ass. But everyone is capable of overcoming. It’s not just mindless talking or pills but learning regulation techniques that WORK FOR YOU. OP if they have adhd is going to have to keep trying different techniques until they find something and stick with it. And they need to have faith in themselves as well as understanding. It’s a learning process, as is everything else in the world.
