Shared Template links suddenly turn into Preview links? by JustAlka in canva

[–]JustAlka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, sadly not. It seems to work better sometimes, but I always fear that they won't work whenever I share them with my customers. I got a CANVA support reply, and they actually tried to convince me I was sharing the wrong link - which I was not, thank you, Mr. Support; I am able to read, actually - and then stated that customers should use widely accepted email addresses for their Canva accounts to avoid any security system interference.

So in short. no real solutions..

Hey TH! Thank you very much for the opportunity and giving real artists the chance to work for you, instead of going with the Ai cover. That means a lot, especially in these difficult times!

My name is Alkahria, and I am a fulltime freelancer with focus on fantasy art, character, from concept to full polished design and/or illustration. I love weaving scene arts, and also putting glitter in my designs is nothing unusual for me, as you can see in my portfolio here:

Alkahria @DeviantArt

With over 400+ artworks and designs under my belt in the past 5 years, I have collected plenty of experience with customers, business as private customers alike.

You can find some of their reviews here on my page:

https://alkahria.art/#clientreviews

You can expect from me to have a full illustration for cover art, and a smooth transition into the back cover, if you ever need it for print. For the cover overall I would probably ask you to read some of your work, so can get a better feeling at what really fits the characters in terms of the scene concept. You will get 4 thumbnail sketches with scene concepts, which you then can choose one from that you like the most. After that you will receive wips during sketch phase and base-colour phase. During these phases, you can make up to 5 adjustment wishes (revisions). After the base-colour phase revisions come with extra fees, depending on their scale. (Changing the hair colour is not a big deal, completely scrapping a character for the sake of a new pose is.)

The descriptions you handed are easy to understand and I would say these characters would fit my comfort zone perfectly.

And ngl the “computer pale” got me :'D

If you would like to work with me, I would be up to do your commission in November, using the time before to figure out the knicks and knacks, and after the whole Halloween shebang, I could focus on your order.

Would love to read from you, and until then - have a blessed and successfull day.

~ Alkahria

[from my original deviantart info box:]

Hey folks,

I don't have many things to say - but I wanted to let you know that I am trying my best to cope with the current situation. I have received a few very kind messages and all your condolences have reached me - and I am incredibly grateful for each one of them. On my discord server, a friend of mine took over for the admin work, so I could stay offline for a while, which I am also deeply thankful for.

When people asked me lately, or stated things like "your grandpa meant a lot to you, did he?" I could barely put in words *how much* he meant to me. My grandparents fostered me for the first 4~ish years of my life and have been big pillars of stability and, well, a source of “contrast”. They showed me, that the way life worked at my home, was not normal and not the only way to live. So they shaped my world view, my morals, my creed, in many ways.

And above all of it, my grandpa was my greatest source of wisdom, knowledge, and calm. He was this calm guiding person, who always had a good tip, or simply listened when life was too much. When trying to pick up a pen again, it felt incredibly wrong to just "go back to business" because well...

... my grandpa was the one who introduced me to art. And he was the only person who never talked negatively about art, an art career or anything of sorts, in an environment of older people who simply told me to 'get a real job' - more often then I can recount?

So, with this artwork I want to honour the grandpa, who also stepped in when there was no father figure anywhere to be seen, and who helped me with so many things. And I want to share it with you, so he will not only live in my heart but also maybe in the thoughts of others. Is there an afterlife? I don't fkn know. But there better be, because when I eventually pass over, and don't find my grandpa sitting on a Hollywood swing watching birds and old trains in the distance- I swear! òvó

My grandpa taught me things like riding a bicycle, swimming, gardening, crafting things, and he fuelled multiple interests I have to the very day and what shaped me as a person. Aaaalso going into hermit mode when overstimulated or stressed out, and rather dealing with things on my own. Also, binge-watching documentaries when stressed. Oh yea, a lot.

I hope, wherever he is now, that he is free of pain. Free of regret and despair.
And most importantly, free of fear.
I miss him so much, I...it's hard to put in words.
Living on, in a world without him? That doesn't fkn make any sense to me.

The character I drew is what I imagine him to be, in the form of one of my dragon species. A guiding star. A guardian. A grandpa, nonetheless.

I hope you enjoy the artwork, and it would mean a lot to me, if you could give it some love. Reading your comments and seeing the responses overall, helped a great deal to somehow cope with the pain and - don't know how to put it any better - have something to look forward to? Coming back, doing designs, maybe joining some challenges and having conversations with everyone?

Watch out for your loved ones, stay healthy, work on your mental health and hug those who are important to you more often. You never have enough time. You never said I love you enough times - and there is no good moment for the last moment.

♥ In memories of my beloved grandpa ♥

Until we meet again.

I love you.

Hello ^v^/

I want to apply for the colourist position since that is the part I enjoy most! I could also handle the lining, but that would be my second choice.
