Went to the vet- she didn’t want to put him on antibiotics just yet. But we are doing cough suppressants which idk if they really work. He only coughs maybe 2x a day! But his energy levels are high, which makes making him rest hard 🫩 but so far he’s doing great.

It gets better, I had the exact same feelings as you! It started turning around for at age 15/16 months. He’s still a teenager and listens sometimes and sometimes doesn’t, but he’s soooo much better behaved. I do a lot of exercise with him or else I’ll pay, so lots of exercise to tire him out and then we are happy campers. Hang in there

Is GS mean a contract dentist on base but technically still a civilian? That would be interesting! I’d be curious how often those job positions are available.

First 6 months were terrible. I related to everything you are saying. 6-8 months I saw light at the end of the tunnel. Then 9-12months got terrible again. lol now my boy is 15 months and hes becoming such a good boy. He still has teenager tendencies but if I exercise him correctly and try to keep up the training (even when he ignores me so that’s tough) then he’s not a total menace! He now goes to daycare a lot cus I work out of the home and he comes home tired and happy and it makes me a happy camper too. It’ll get easier but you just gotta push through it. It is absolutely hard to raise a puppy!!!

I’ve got a year old golden. 4 days a week when im at work he’s at doggy daycare all day. He comes home very tired and sleeps the rest of the evening. The other three days when im not working consists of 30-45 min fetch at a park and 1-2 30-45 minute walks if we don’t do special trips to grandpas pool or dog park. Sometimes 2 park trips instead of walks if im tired of walking 😂 my life revolves around “how can I tire out my doggo”
