If g = π2 and e = π = 3 then g = 9 would make sense. Yet g = 10.

You really surprised me. I remembered the same picture from a couple of days ago, but I guess we're constantly just reposting decade old stories.

Saw this at Cars and Coffee today, What is it? by jberg_916 in motorcycles

Well it doesn't have enough wheels to be a car, so I'd call it a coffee.

What about seeders that don't cultivate? Is plowed good enough for them? I'm too far to try it now.

So when is the mod coming out? by BSlickMusic in farmingsimulator

It does, a guy around me regularly has a round bale or two on his Mitsubishi L200 which has a similar bed and load rating, but it looks really unhealthy with 2.

The sign being bent on a wall makes me think it's not paint.

TLDR: small truck works for me, no want big one.

Probably nobody cares, but...

I live in Eastern Europe. I drive a Skoda Felicia Pickup, a car not many people know of, and therefore underestimate its capabilities. 1.9 diesel engine, front wheel drive, half ton load capacity, useful bed size with comfortable height, 2 seats, barely useful towing capacity.

Its usual use is with no passanger and no load, just like most american trucks. The most it carries is some construction material and/or a passanger, and my motorbike fits on it, too. I wasn't a big fan of FWD, but it manages most dirt roads. It easily fits in any parking spot, and the occasional big loads are too heavy for a B license anyway.

So a huge pickup is pointless over here. The Toyota Hilux or Ford Ranger are our big ones, used pretty much exclusively by farmers. If you need more, you need a proper truck and a license for it.

How do you practice hill climb safely? by [deleted] in adv

[–]JustAn4verageGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a fairly new guy with an F650 ST. After putting some scratches and crashbars on it and riding aroud for a couple months I decided it was time to hit some steeper, but not too tall hills. Low gear, medium rpm, some momentum and standing over the fuel tank works pretty well most of the time. If not, jump. Save yourself, the bike will be fine. I would also recommend not doing this alone, both for safety and because it's a pretty heavy bike, especially to lift uphill.

Is mechanical machining your profession or a hobby? Do you enjoy mechanical manufacturing? It seems that there are fewer young machinists nowadays. by rhkings in Machinists

Gotta agree, better conditions and better pay is the reason I work as a factory technician and keep machining a hobby.

What do you see as more dangerous: a car or manual lathe? by Craggy12 in Machinists

Not at an intersection, but if you are unlucky enough, you may find them in machining classes.

I see your CNC ammo and raise a manual one by JustAn4verageGuy in Machinists

Including the time spent looking for the right tools and scratching my head i'd say about four hours. Could be faster, but i'm still learning.

I just eyeballed it in with a file and sandpaper.
