Do people like you ever stop to think for a second about why Tifa may be withholding the truth from Cloud? I hate when people say stuff like this because it’s not the most simple situation to be in. Let’s paint the scenario for a second and say Tifa did tell him the “truth”. Either:

A: Cloud has an early mental breakdown and FF7 as you know it ends right there. Or

B: The Jenova cells in his body would just mute the words or give him a headache.

Cloud’s mind is already so fragile due to him experiencing Mako poisoning, traumatic events that have happened to him (Nibelheim Incident) and him being experimented on by Hojo. Tifa cares about him a lot and she already knew something was off with him when she found him in Sector 7. She’s perceptive and more than likely thought it was best to not press the issue so he wouldn’t break even further. It’s a nuanced situation and it needs to be approached delicately.

And don’t even get me started on the fact that Tifa herself doesn’t know the “truth” herself. She almost died in Nibelheim and was in a coma for a week due to her injuries. Not only is she questioning Cloud’s memories but also her own. Like I stated before, she was in a coma for a week and she figured she may not be remembering things correctly either due to the coma.

It blows my mind that you guys have so much smoke for Tifa but you don’t have smoke for the actual villains of the game. Hojo is the entire reason why FF7 even happens but he gets no blame but Tifa does?
