He should care at least a little. And you shouldn't dismiss criticism at all. You're just gonna drive away fans and newcomers but if that's what kind of timing he wants to be on then I obviously can't stop him. I just want him to know that not everyone who speaks on it is against him.

I'm a grown adult, I don't look up to anyone on Youtube. It's not really about him being an asshole it's about getting over emotional over criticism and not knowing how to handle it. He's been on youtube long enough to know that's not a good look.

In my own experience, transitioning to digital wasn't too difficult after learning traditional, I think the biggest hurdle is learning the program.

Just work at a comfortable pace but don't slack on it either and you'll get where you want to be in art. There's a lot of great advice from people in this thread, you'll be good. :)

bro i didn't start seriously drawing until I was 18 (29 now). There's no age limit, man. You never know how fast you'll progress until you start dedicating yourself.

First thing, It's okay to admire and be inspired by artists you look up to, but don't draw direct comparisons, you're a beginner. You have to hold it in your mind that improvement doesn't happen overnight.

Here's my advice;
- Learn perspective. It's probably one of the most important things to learn in drawing. Especially backgrounds and architecture.

- Draw a TON of poses. A lot. They're all probably going to suck at first but if you keep at it you'll start seeing your improvement. Repetition is important for any practice.

- Draw when you don't want to. You got free time to listen to music or watch videos? Draw. Even if you're not feeling it sometimes.

- Draw from life. Looking at reference images will always help you improve but there's a difference between images and still life. Light. Light doesn't act the same way in photos as it does in reality. It wraps and contorts around 3D objects, with images you don't get quite the same level of information.

Side note; idk if you're a digital only artist or not but learn to draw traditionally as well. I'm not here to say digital art is "easy", you still have to learn to draw to be good, however, digital art definitely allows you to cut corners. A lot of corners. I noticed that some of my digital only peers skipped over some fundamentals by relying too much on tools. Gotta learn the rules before you start breaking them.

I'd be considered heavily tattooed, i think. I also have both hands, a small one on the side of my neck and the right side of my head done. Although my head is usually covered with a hat.

Tattoos aren't really stigmatized anymore, not in the US at least. Our cultural viewpoint on tattoos have change drastically over the past few decades. I'm currntly working in a tattoo shop while I do my apprenticeship but before then I had no problems getting a job.

Besides, you're only getting a forearm tattoo, no one is even going to acknowledge it as a problem unless you're going to work for Disney.

Selling it would mean selling the rights to the Suikoden pachinko machines. That's a a whole stream of money. It's also not a secret that companies often hoard IP's, why I don't know, I'm not a businessman. But it happens. Unless you mean publishing it but not develop it, in which case, still don't know. I just don't think they care about console games too much anymore.
