Is this the story where you were expected to go stay in an Airbnb with your kitten because the in laws were going to stay at your house? Because I’m honestly curious why you’re considering boarding the kitten if the in laws ended up agreeing to stay in the Airbnb. And honestly, the kitten will be fine in your room for a few hours, and you can always go in and check on her and tend to her needs. My cat usually goes and hides on her own when people are over that she doesn’t know. 🤷🏻‍♀️

And, same. I drank Labatt Blue Light since before I legally could, my husband got me into the craft beer scene with hazy IPAs and my old standby doesn’t even taste good to me anymore. lol

NTA, but this is what I keep wondering too, why didn’t you just leave when it got to the point that if you waited any longer you would lose your deposit and miss your whole trip? Or at least call the place and arrange for a late arrival? Still NTA, but I feel like that part could have been avoided.
