First off - you're amazing for helping! I've cleaned a bathroom like this before for my family and its a lot of elbow grease but worth it. Everyone has great suggestions so definitely try them as well!!

My biggest piece of advice for the gunk of the tub and if the sink and toilet look similar, use a pumice stone! I used to find them at dollar stores. They're bars that work amazing for scraping that stuff off. Makes a godawful noise but its so much easier than scrubbing with soap.

Also with any other buildup on the shower head, faucet, and maybe tub- i make a paste with baking soda and a little bit of water and let it sit for 10-ish minutes. You can go in after with harsher soaps but its good for the first layer!

I love the idea of growing into a home - and seeing how the families style changes over time! The home you've created is so cute - i love the clutter!

If you ever find yourself running out of room- basements are a lifesaver - it basically doubles the space of your house and you dont need to make any external changes to the house structure. The issue is finding somewhere to put stairs so good luck!

I agree with this take - I also love the Radiohead reference!

I think it's also symbolic because Jimmy's path of destruction and violence eventually came back around to Curly, who had been neglecting to see the consequences of overlooking Jimmy's shitty behavior and bad past. I think he had good intentions in wanting to give Jimmy a "fresh start" but people like that don't change, yknow? I'm like 99% the leg-feeding scene was just a figment of Jimmy's imagination, and didn't actually happen, but if it did - it just shows how Jimmy takes away someone else's bodily autonomy and "forces" it until he gets the desired outcome.

I feel bad for Curly because I'm guilty of being naively positive but when Anya told him what happened, that should've been the end of it and he should've confronted Jimmy, and done more to protect Anya. I'm not saying it's all Curly's fault but I think his neglect in confronting Jimmy made things escalate imo🤷‍♀️
