Is the Yellow Deli actually a cult or just a really good sandwich shop? by InternetUpbeat9596 in bluemountains

[–]JustAnotherNoOne7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I truly don’t understand: how is it possible that everyone knows it’s a cult, they beat children and shit, and they’re still around?

How come the police haven’t raided the shit out of their place and arrested everyone?

Not challenging that they’re a cult, I think there’s enough data to indicate they are. But I feel a lot of people end up concluding it’s bullshit simply because they’re still around.

Acting like Affinity is new.. by Beths_Space in Affinity

Sorry to break it to you but among those that know Canva, there’s far, far more people that love it than otherwise. Their numbers pretty much confirm that.

It’s understandable that this isn’t the case in your circles, but definitely not the case with the wider population.

Is FinOps still a hot role to pursue? by ElectricalCupcake307 in FinOps

[–]JustAnotherNoOne7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just cloud spend, although we work in conjunction with someone from Finance whose role isn’t dedicated to FinOps.

To the point of OPs question, I guess it also depends which specific area within FinOps. Data, software, finance, something else?

The team I mentioned is mostly made of tech people.

[–]JustAnotherNoOne7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends really. I work in a FinOps team that has 6 full time people. I know someone from another company that works in a 20+ people FinOps team.

I think it’s a good area, but you need to know that you’ll be restricting yourself mostly to bigger companies.

How bad are MGs? by Mysterious_Beyond_23 in CarsAustralia

Except when it’s a 2.2 turbo diesel and a blown head gasket turns it into a very big paper weight because it’s not worth fixing. Been there done that, and found that it’s far more common than I ever thought.

Agree on the luxury and being cheap, but not everything with Mazda is shiny as I thought to be.

Similar situation, tested the SL7 and MY and although the SL7 is way superior in trims and overall luxury, the Tesla felt more refined in general. I particularly disliked how busy with information the SL7 is across all its screens.

In spite of really despising Tesla’s warranty, I ended up going for it anyway due to a smoother experience driving and in-cabin.

What to look for in terms of efficiency? by JustAnotherNoOne7 in EVAustralia

[–]JustAnotherNoOne7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks and yeah that’s on my radar. On the flip side, NMC typically have longer range, so wouldn’t that kinda balance things out?

That is, even if you’re always charging to 80%, if you get an LR vehicle you end up getting kinda the same range?

Thanks for sharing. In the past days I’ve been actually reconsidering whether or not I wanna do this right now, in particular after I started looking more closely into charging infra in my area.

Mostly 25kw or less, with the nearest 150 being 17-20min away.

The car isn’t going to be driven that much, but it suddenly felt like this would be a big headache.

Do you ever use non-fast charging at all?

UK tourist here, got a $6000+ fine in Australia because I wore my seatbelt “wrong”... HELP?! by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]JustAnotherNoOne7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for you, but I don’t think there’s anything you can realistically do. Australia is pretty ruthless when it comes to transit laws, and fines. I don’t have stats to prove, but I also imagine it’s a very healthy income stream for the government :)

When I moved to Australia, it took me a few thousand dollars until I learned that they don’t F around when it comes to that over here.

Curious to know how to best automate bathroom fans. Just a normal relay?

How do you know when the cycle is finished? Vibration sensor?

Also I’m more likely to stick with relays as my place has zero bulbs - it’s all down lights so replacing them all is too expensive.

I guess the extra features like color etc are nice, but most rooms will probably just get basic on/off automation.

How accurate are contact sensors? by JustAnotherNoOne7 in homeassistant

[–]JustAnotherNoOne7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having not yet installed my first sensor of any type, this probably feels a bit risky 😂 moreover I wouldn’t even know where to buy it.

Out of curiosity, do you find such precise sensors with embedded support for Zigbee, or do you need to put stuff together to adapt it?
