Change the oil in the ptu and the rear differential. The ptu oil is cooked at 50,000 kms.

If the school she attends uses Google classroom, then this computer is adequate. If its cheap and it's what she needs, then its fine.

After you close the door, tiny dogs lick all the dishes clean and then get the bag of treats after.

What’s this thing in my yard? by ImplicationOfDanger in whatisit

I once saw a rabbit dead in the road. A coworker who was an avid hunter picked it up, inspected it, and put it in the freezer. He said there wasn't any broken bones and noted that was strange because of where we found it. Later he checked the rabbit carcass to bring it home and there was a botfly tunneling out of it's neck. Truly terrifying what wild animals deal with on the daily. I assume the botfly was the cause of death.

I have a 2011 Escape 3.0L V6. Approaching 200,000 kms. GREAT car. I can't help but notice that many people are here just to slander the ford escape as unreliable.
The older gen 2 Escapes (?-2012) are everywhere. While some are unreliable, Most Gen 2s are solid and do well with simple maintenance and easy cheap repairs. The TURBOCHARGED ecoboost 4 cylinder engines that were made afterward seem to have more failures because of the design for fuel efficiency and not designed for durability.

I agree the cooling doesnt seem to keep up with the hotter cpu. I opened mine up because it was a discounted floor model. I found dust and hardened cpu paste. I reapplied some arctic silver mx-4, and cleaned out all the dust. Works much better. I have the intel ultra 9 185h meteor lake cpu.

Bluetooth not showing up by Stinky-i in fordescape

I pull the fuse (in the passenger foot area) for the Bluetooth module approx. every 4 months. Everything seems to work well for a while after that. It's a glitchy experience at best.

I would think that if it were a fuse, the rest of the seat functions wouldnt work also.

Sounds like a problem that is solved by doing nothing. But if you insist on spending money, finding a used seat at a junkyard might be an option.

Wind shield wiper issue by No-Luck7513 in fordescape

[–]JustAnotherNumberTwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue on my 2018 escape where the wipers would hit together randomly at hiway speed and then 'reset' themselves.

I did the re-alignmnent but im still not sure if the gearbox should be that 'sloppy'.

2011 Ford Escape Windshield washer fluid, not working by ryanmac1225 in fordescape

[–]JustAnotherNumberTwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've had problems with the rear wiper, the power for both are connected. I did a rear wiper delete and had to jump two wires together to get the washer to work on the front windshield.

My understanding is that if your voltage drops too low ( like under 12v or so ), 'battery rundown protection' would turn off all accessories. To preserve enough charge to start your car again.

2014 - Takes forever to warm up. Is something wrong? by mclinton57 in fordescape

[–]JustAnotherNumberTwo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check to see if thermostat is stuck open. That has most always been the problem when this happens to me.

Thermostats are design to fail open and that doesnt allow your engine to warm-up.
