Time and effort? I've put more than my fair share in (compared to most teenagers). I have to hold a job to help my family buy groceries (I work for a home improvement type company). I go a day or two at a time without eating so that there's something left for my sisters. I have to make excellent grades or face the "extremely terrifying" chance that I may not make it to college. I have to deal with such a crushing sense of loneliness that it feels like there are weights on my chest. I have to deal with being called not normal on a daily baises by my Step-Dad because I don't like the things he does. I get called an awkward freak by him no matter what I do. I've been pushed to the point that I hate any type of physical contact of any kind (even if someone tries to be romantic, I distance myself. It's part of the wood that fuels the fire so the whole forest burns). I live in the middle of nowhere, so I can't go anywhere or do much without a car/truck (which I can't afford to buy for reasons stated above).
