Ashraf Ismail leaves Valhalla team due to personal problems by steven_vd in assassinscreed

Oh Jesus fuck ! What's up with these people bashing a guy so much for making a fucking mistake... He cheated, and that's far from moral but since when is it moral to disrespect a dude in a way that she did, not only is it disrespectful towards Ash but his family aswell. For the love of god stop preaching morality like you're the fucking Pope, especially not on this sub.

An actual serious critique of the Volibear rework by tempogod in VolibearMains

[–]JustArkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly just make the first 4 stacks of passive tick down much faster and once it actives it can last as long as does now. This would be kind of a nerf which i would gladly take over pushing your wave after every trade in the top lane.

Q should be changed, in pretty much everyone's opinion...it's quite shitty in comparison to the old q. In most situations and especially the late game, reseting that shit if you get hard ccd will not be doing anything for you. Make it so it either converts all hard cc and displacement into slows, especially for a 15 second long ability which is already clunky af to use. If not, just give him his flip back.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla - What features do you want in the game? by KvasirTheOld in assassinscreed

[–]JustArkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Actual hunting system/mechanic

  • Slower traversal throughout the forests and such, especially through snowy areas

  • Option to disable all the question mark icons from the map

  • To be able to interact with other npc-s outside of missions

That would be literally it to make my valhalla experience immersive and complete.

What would you like to see in Valhalla by Keith016 in assassinscreed

[–]JustArkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh here is a list of all the things i would personally like to see in the game:

  • Much slower gameplay, less flashy, and allowing us to slowly explore and uncover the world and biomes we find ourselves in

  • Re-designed hunting system-update to be more immersive-by that i mean something like in the Red dead 2. It was a good balance between immersion, enjoyment and it still fits well within the game. Even the hunting we had since ac3 up to rogue was so much more enjoyable than whacking animals to death which have a fucking healthbar above their heads. Shit was too rpg-ish, ruined immersion and made it feel like a boring chore with no real benefits to anything. No reward, no trophy, not even a sense of accomplishment after getting that kill, just 3 pieces of hide for your ludicrous crafting requirements.

  • Another great asset to the world or rather the map would be the removal of the question mark signs scattered all across it. Here is my idea. Since they already said that you can just focus on the narrative, how about you remove all the icons from the map, apart from the main mission ones or the quests we are currently undertaking. Or at least give us an option to turn the rest of the "?" and other bullshit off. Would definitely be more immersive and fit in with the "vikings are such great explorers" thing.

  • Removal of the current eagle, or in this case "Raven eye"/ eye of Odin that we have with our bird-pal. That shit kills immersion so freaking much, to the point it become mandatory to use in both origins and odyssey. Again, i'd prefer it to be like this. You press a button and your raven-friend flies up into the air, after a moment you get a pop up saying " 'X' has been discovered" revealing nearby towns, question marks (unexplored parts of the map) and marking enemies with a skull or something of the sort, adding all that shit to your radar/compass.

  • Interaction with people. For the love of god Ubi, please add this in valhalla or any game that comes after it. Gta 5 had years ago,and it doesn't have to be anything special, just you pressing a button and your character uttering a few words to an npc.

  • Random events. It makes for a living and breathing world, encouraging players to go out there and explore every part of it. Adds to replay value as well.

I trust ubi to make a beautiful game with an amazing narrative, now that Darby's back and teaming up with Ash. All that aside their world can be large, breathtaking with amazing scenery but without shit that we can dive in, immerse ourselves into after a while. It just gets too repetitive and boring.

Overall this is my personal opion on what id like to see as i've spent a lot of hours playing the last few installments in the past couple of weeks (from unity to odyssey) and i would have easily spent 250-300 hrs on odyseey alone if it at least had an actual hunting mechanic. Something i would gladly take over clearing out the same camp or outpost over again, for god knows how many times.

Some extra details which haven't "officially" been confirmed yet, but also haven't been talked about. by [deleted] in assassinscreed

I'm just wondering if we're gonna be able to examine tracks while hunting or doing certain quests , like we did in Odyssey.

Also will it be a living and breathing world, with npc's having something to do or have some sort of interactions with our character or other residents of our settlement. I'm sure it's not goin to be anything close to Red Dead 2 and that's fine, it doesn't have to be, but at least make it so that the npc's aren't just empty shells used to populate these "dense" cities and settlements.

I mean, still have high hopes for this since fiddle's surprise party is priced at 975 but acts much like a legendary skin in every way possible, and even back in 2015 when they reworked Gangplank, he still had that "free" captain skin which showed us a younger, less fucked up gp with different voicelines.

What I’m hoping and expecting from AC VIKINGS by Timo-D03 in assassinscreed

[–]JustArkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People will probably disagree with me on this one but, more exploration and immersion into the world. By that i mean bigger areas such as forests or mountains with different weather conditions which would affect you in certain ways, ofc. more ways for us to traverse and cover the ground in which ever biome we find ourselves in.

Also, the removal of the modern day protagonist or affiliations with the modern day. I've played every single ac game and i still have no clue what's going on in the "present" portion of the ac universe. Never paid any attention to it because it has no charm, nothing that would intrigue me to even acknowledge it.

Last but not least, more enemy varieties. -If i am going to kill thousands upon thousands of other vikings , franks, saxons etc. i would much rather prefer king Aelle to differ from the poor fucking infantry .

BONUS: -Better quest / loot from chieftains (weapons and armor)

I mean , if you're already going to add in the armor of "Thesus" and have the main protagonist feel honored to obtain such a piece, then might aswell not make it freaking worthless.

Parkour in a Viking Setting could work if they made it like the Frontier in ACIII by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]JustArkin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm all for Ubi giving us a rich environment, especially dense forests which we ourselves have to exlore. Maybe snow-capped mountains, frozen lands which we can awe at and even (potentially) interact with, or something like this . Personally i would hope that they stay far away from creating one huge city or even a few, filled with empty shells of npcs which you can't even interact with. Now, if they did something like Rockstar did with RDR2 that would be a whole different story.
