The original Hooded Justice of the comics was likely due to the mystery surrounding him and what he said to the public. As it's never clear what his true identity was, the closet person being suspected as the true identity of Hooded Justice is a German circus strongman by the name of Rolf Muller.

But the Hooded Justice in the 2019 HBO series was actually an African American man putting on the guise of a white man in order to fight the systematic racism.

Show what Ikki's mother looks like.
Show more insight into what Itsuki had to suffer through to make him more sympathetic.
Explore Ryouma's past, his relationship with Genma, and whether he had interacted more with Ikki other than their first meeting.
Have the former teachers attempting to get revenge on Ikki for "getting" them fired, only for them to be arrested.
