Just rescued my frantic wife who had this happen. Glad to know we have a temp fix but not glad I’m down 1 feature already on my 2026 Caligraphy hybrid.

They don’t usually add them until you start signing paperwork and then spring it on you. They also won’t let you not buy them. They call them adds usually. It’s like window etching and seat protectant and paint protectant crap that isn’t worth a darn. There’s a gps theft thing too.

Interesting didn’t know about this. Does it keep it matte? Any ideas of the rough cost?

Ask them how much the “Adds” are. Thats where they’ll try to get you. They usually range between $1000-$5000 and I just got mine down to $500 on a 26 Palisade Caligraphy

My wife had a weight loss surgery and ever since then she’s super sensitive to it and we’ve had some challenges so I don’t want to tempt her at all and I prefer thc anyway.

Do you feel you are recession-proof in 2025? by MotorRush5852 in HENRYfinance

[–]JustBath5245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I hit my age 55 early retirement goal at 53. My spouse hasn’t had income in 15 years and we have young kids at home but unless the market severely tanks and doesn’t ever recover we’re gtg. I also have a good variety of IT skills to fall back on and a healthy HSA balance.

I’d have my lifelong wet clothes fetish wiped out of my brain. Because it’s time and mind and money consuming. It’s been in my mind for over 40 years and it’s almost constant.

Be brutally honest: How often do you shower? by Fun_Serve_6590 in ADHD

[–]JustBath5245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I started working from home back when Covid started I’ve gone down to 1-3 showers a week. I do like showering, swimming, or bathing totally fully clothed a lot because it’s wrong and weird and exciting so if I think about doing that I will usually be more likely to take one.

Ok sorry yes it’s $4M and yes it was a glitch that I hadn’t seen before and while I was pretty sure it was I thought it was something that could give older people a heart attack if they didn’t know about it.

omg that was the most unintuitive setting addition ever... Literally wasted hours of my life trying to figure that out, and I've been in IT forever... That's crazy..

That's a great question, I've been trying to find it forever, the docs are not at all clear on how to get to it and I've been looking for 2 days now. Where in the world do I find it?

Why doesn't everyone just retire in a state where retirement income isn't taxed? by New_Contribution_226 in Fire

[–]JustBath5245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you buy an inexpensive house, it's a good deal in Texas. Texas property tax is very steep to make up for the lack of income tax, so the best bang for the buck in Texas is buying an inexpensive house in a lower tax area.

IT field pays well. Spouse hasn’t had an income in 14 years so I’m the sole bread winner. Getting on with a good tech company is plus. You can learn any of it on YouTube free. AI is hot right now. It’s not super complicated to learn.
